Ladies! Aren't you sick of being unable to participate in the playoff beard ritual? I am! Granted, some have a more sasquatch-esque hue to their faces, but should I really subject the world to that? Nah...I'll spare you. We came up with the idea of bracelets or strings around our wrists. Seeing as how the playoff beard lasts the whole time, wins and losses, we're gonna do the same. You're all welcome to participate...boys too. Rules: Tie a red string around your wrist for a win. Tie a white string around your wrist for a loss. Post pictures as we go! Questions? Comments? Concerns?

I say we rip down his banner from the Joe until he gives us Vinny Lecavalier.
-
I say we have a debate over whether I was serious or not. Ok go!
-
I was talking about all the ugly boys!
-
There are some pretty hideous looking members too.

*sigh*

Is it sad that this is the first time I've smiled since I was at the pre-game skate yesterday?
-
It sounds like you're saying boy's hole.
-
What do you mean "on their own?" I'm pretty sure we did do them on their own. Please don't be that guy. You know what I mean.
-
Lol I just saw this. I'm such a slacker. Ok...carry on. Not that it matters but I'm sticking to a bright red mani/pedi throughout the playoffs for us.

Please don't go there! You'll ruin it! He's my favorite player. You're ruining it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Ewwwwwwwwwwww he's so creepy! As for NJ, this is the first time I wanna see them play. Maybe I'll make a trip out there.
-
That's such a great picture!!! You look great Jen! Congratulations to both of you.

You're too kind. And frankly, a liar. Anyway, if Lilja comes back will be get a free pass to play to his standard or will we slaughter him if he doesn't embody Lids? Seriously, are we just collectively putting too much hope into him? My theory is, keep expectations low. Be pleasantly surprised. Oh Lilja stepped on the ice and we only have one goal against? Better than two, right? (Be nice to me. I'm in an emotionally abusive relationship with the Red Wings.)

You have a very good point.

There's always a risk of re-injury. It's all about risk vs. benefit. If he can be symptom free for two weeks he's probably healing well enough to be run by the Mule. If he can practice with full contact, the natural next step is game action.
-
...I'd hit that. I think we all might be grasping for hope at this point. I can see Lilja coming back and making one turnover resulting in a goal against and have the village ready to crucify him. He's not Lidstrom, but I'd welcome him back. It's a risk for him to play and I'd be weary clearing him. And regardless of him being ripped like Jesus, he won't be in game shape until he's playing in games.

Define "works." If you want your nerves stunned so you don't feel pain for a little while, then go to a chiropractor. But don't expect a resolution of pathology. So if you think it "works," I have to respectfully disagree. As for the Pain Train! I remember the day Kenny said the contract was drafted and Lilja just had to sign it. I ran around southeast Michigan hiding pens. For that, I apologize. I can't wait to see #3 on the ice. I would love to see him run a Penguin over this weekend.

He went to a chiropractor?!?!? Ugh!!!

One too many punches to the head can affect your brain's processing center pretty easily. In fact, concussions are more likely to cause mentation deficits as opposed to physical deficits. Stu looks so...clean...in that picture.
-
And me too! I'll be there and I reeeeeeeeeally wanna see us play hot. Can we throw in a Big Rig fight for good measure? Hoping to carry some momentum in tonight.
-
Hey Marcus what's up? The sad truth is Lilja may never come back. Doctors are really hesitant to let people like that compete professionally. I blame the lawyers.
-
It's not a concussion. It's a hemangioma. Basically it's a tumor of blood vessels. Not really a big deal unless you're playing contact sports.

We swab for flu A and flu B. If flu A is positive it's most likely H1N1. If you've had symptoms for less than 72 hours, CDC recommends treatment with Tamiflu. Although that will only decrease length of symptoms by 0.2 days.
