Continuing on the trend of wedding photos, here are some of mine from my October 24th wedding! Hey, the pictures are huge! But that's ok. Here's my dad walking me down the aisle (the wedding was in Hawaii) You have no idea how awkward these staged photos are until you've done them. "Act naturally, but also look at me over your shoulder like I've just caught you contemplating life." We're married! The staged photos with my husband were less awkward, because he can always make me laugh. Yep, wedding cake. Yep, I married a Blackhawks fan (to be fair, he's a whatever Marian Hossa is right now fan, because he's from Slovakia)

I agree with the others...you can still remain friends with the co-workers who were important for you! If they were a big part of your life for 5 years, you don't have to cut them out now that you're moving on. Just look at this transition as a 100% positive one! It's been a loooong time since I worked retail, but even typing the word brings me back...Be happy you got out! ;p Once you get into a new routine, I think you'll feel a lot better about everything. Enjoy your time away from working (which sounds amazing, by the way!)

Yup! And haave had to walk away from people in daily life to avoid calling them very bad things...especially around playoff time. The person below me has broken up with a boyfriend or girlfriend because said significant other never got movie or TV show references.

So if you call that NY number, and then press 1, and then type 2388626, the recording will say "Press 1 for Gary Bettman" and then you press 1 and voila! Sorry for spam posts, but I figured this out just now. ;p

Please, good Lord, please. I think you should wait til they close one night and cover the doorstep so they can't even enter the building the next day without being reminded of the octopus. ;p

Really, the punch itself isn't a big deal, I don't think. Worse happens during the playoffs, and I have come to expect that in a high intensity game, there will be raw emotions and some of those might display themselves through little bouts of roughness. However, I look at this incident against the backdrop of the game itself...the Rangers were down 3-0 with 2 minutes left...I sincerely doubt that Avery thought his actions would somehow help the Rangers tie up the game. Had the score been 3-3, or even 3-2 at the time, I would have written this off as simple agitating, but because Avery was probably just letting out a little aggression, I have to say that I don't approve of his behavior at all.

I am disinclined to compare Pav and Z because in some way, I feel like if I compared the two, I'd be displaying a lack of appreciation for one of them. Ever since they played on the 2 kids & Goat line with Brett Hull, I'll admit that I've often thought of them as one package...not interchangable, but attached. I like when they do well together, and when they aren't on the same line, I feel agitated, and feel like Babs is separating a really good team. I think a lot of the tendency to fit them into the same category and make them "equal" comes from the aesthetic value that comes from having them together.

The Division title is almost certainly won for us anyhow...I'd love to see Chi-town post a win against SJ so we can make up a little bit of what we lost when the Flames beat us the other night. I haven't been concerned about Chicago catching up...SJ seems the more present danger at the moment.
