    Wojtek Wolski

At one point, he was referred to as "Goalski" by Av fans and was considered to be one of the pillars around which Colorado would build its team. Then Phoenix and Colorado think maybe a change of scenery would do some good for two very promising young talents that had plateau'd (the other being Mueller). Then Wolski starts getting lost in the shuffle. If we can pay him only a small amount over what he is worth, then we may get a good deal on what he can be worth.

WCQF Game 3 GDT: Coyotes 4 at Red Wings 2

Kronwall has looked like garbage in the first 2. Both on the O and D side of the rink.

2/6 GDT: Red Wings 3 at Kings 4

Question for those more knowledgeable: 2 goals 16 seconds apart. Why are the Wings changing the forward lines AFTERWARDS?

Detroit to offer Hossa long term deal

Fedorov is not going to make much more than 2 mil if that. I don't know all the dynamics, but I think signing him for 1.5 (if possible) and letting him play forward is great. Then, if a D goes down, you shift him back to D and let a GR kid come up. Either way, even WITHOUT thinking about signing Hossa, this team is strapped.

Detroit to offer Hossa long term deal

I'd rather have someone who can play both Forward and Defenseman for 1.9 and keep Hudler and Sammy, than Hossa for 4. *cough*Fedorov*cough* All I'm saying is think about it.

Detroit to offer Hossa long term deal

I'd like to have him back. Basically, this is the only way to get under cap and keep Hudler. Also, haven't heard great things about his health.

    UFA's

Where do you get off saying that? Because he enjoys his homeland and played 2 years with a fellow countryman? Regardless of you you feel about Feds effectiveness on the Wings, personal attacks are cheap.

    UFA's

Fedorov back as a DEFENSEMAN. Cheap, talented, and versatile. It is time to bring him back. Lilja is a huge question mark. As good as Lebda looked for certain games, I'd rather have Feds in. That being said, I don't know the chemistry.

Line Moves Making Me Feel Good

They shouldn't even play the game now. Just award it to the Wings.

    Sykora's in the lineup tonight.

    Panic Move.

Cujo will not be re-signed by the Leafs

I think he means Giguere. That'd be a stupid move by Burke . . . then again, he let young talent go in exchange for Bertuzzi, so maybe you're not out of line.

Cujo will not be re-signed by the Leafs

A smart move by the Leafs. Always felt bad about how poorly Joseph's situation turned out here. He was blamed for a whole lot of things that weren't his fault.

When Pavel Met Evgeni--The turning point of the series

When Pavel Met Evgeni--The turning point of the series

I could have jumped in to help you out at keeping conspiracy theorists away. Then you make the bolded part of your statement. It ruins your argument because it shows that you have lost objectivity, just like your adversary. Shoot straight, and there are a lot of posters on here that will get your back. Just a suggestion.

Or your, you're, their, there, they're, et cetera. Sometimes I find myself becoming dumber after reading threads. Almost as dumb as Lindstrom.

    Just a thought

Hudler is a guy I just like cheering for. That said, when I've paid attention to him in the Finals, he has been drifting and playing poor defense. Anyone else noticed this?

When Pavel Met Evgeni--The turning point of the series

I don't think he should change anything. With how awesome our top line has been, and how bad their defensemen are, I think we could play much of the game in their end.

How long has this playoff run been?

    No. Bad idea.

    Malkn for Conn Smythe

No clear cut MVP this postseason. The player that meant the most to his team? Jonas Hiller. The player that is on an historic scoring tear for all 4 rounds? Malkin. The player who means the most to the Wings (should they win the cup) over all 4 rounds? Hard to say. Probably Osgood. The player that is getting the most love in the media? Zetterberg. The player who has the best pervert stache? MAF or Crysob.

When Pavel Met Evgeni--The turning point of the series

Hey, as a Pens fan, could you give me your honest opinion about what Talbot did? Datsyuk was effecting the game as evidenced by the article in this thread. I was surprised Babcock was playing him so much in the 3rd. What'd you think about that move?

When Pavel Met Evgeni--The turning point of the series

Guys: Stop the thread jack and let's talk about the Datsyuk hit. Don't let a troll ruin this thread, make him take his Babcock beef to a thread about Babcock. Back on topic: The great thing about the hit was that (1) it was hard, (2) it separated Malkin from the puck, and (3) Datsyuk was still in control of his body enough to grab the puck and make a play. Toughness with a purpose.

When Pavel Met Evgeni--The turning point of the series

If it is the hit I remember, the best part wasn't the hit per se, it was that he delivered a strong hit while still remaining in control of his body, and stopping to collect the puck and make a play. He hits with a purpose: sometimes to plaster the guy, sometimes to remove the player from the puck. That is the sort of toughness I like on this team. Toughness with a purpose.

    Datsyuk Game 4 Status

Mindfly: You may be a nice guy, but you really are coming across poorly when you post. I know, the internet is a channel of communication that seems to lend itself to misunderstandings. Nevertheless, I encourage you to be more careful when you type and more respectful when you get called out on your posts. Your negativity and baiting is building a reputation (so much that even occasional posters like me know about it). This is the internet, so maybe you're fine with the reality that you can just create another account and start with a clean slate; that will not serve you well. Please consider what I'm saying here. EDIT: Sorry to threadjack. Back on topic: With the Wings waiting this long to report in or out, I am going to be crushed if he isn't in. If he doesn't play, it will be like an awesome birthday present that you can't wait to unwrap; only to find out that it is from Grandma, and she got you that knit sweater with the purple 80s pattern.
