I am so with you on this. It drives me crazy that Sammy can screw up so much and stay on a scoring line, but the first time Hudler isn't perfect he gets put on a third or fourth.

it might not be idiotic since we have really strong prospects coming up through the ranks. If we trade, for instance, Lilja for 1st round picks or a solid offensive prospect, we'd be getting deeper for the class coming after the Quincys and Ericssons. Thereby we're good today, good tomorrow and might be better the day after that, so to speak.

My non-expert opinion prediction: Downey and Mac both sign two-way contracts. Chelios Signs. Ericson (sp?) and Quincy both sign. Lebda or Pain Train get traded, and...meep...Hudler gets traded.
