Looking forward to Wednesday. Regardless of the officiating which has been pretty retarded going both ways, which has frankly confused both teams as to what is and isn't allowed, I've seen hawks manhandling wings and vice versa, then some bulls*** gets called that's like you allowed that earlier wtf, but whatever. A 7 game series is the only way the hawks and wings should go out of sharing a division and rivalry for so many years. From my perspective no matter what happens this was an entertaining series to say the least, every game has had my adrenaline pumping and the F- Bombs dropping. I hope they put the whistles away and allow for a classic no holds barred contest in game 7.

I dont think the game would have been 7-3 canada if they would have friggin pulled nabakov after the 3rd goal, I still dont think they would have won, but they would have looked less pathetic.

I doubt it. I post over here and on the blues forum (for a few years) as well and I am a hawks fan. I doubt they banned you at the blues forum for no reason whatsoever. They have always been pleasant and fair to me.

I agree, most likely a draw. This is exactly what I want to see. So many "enforcer" lovers love enforcer fights. There is no heart and soul there, its almost staged. Now when two players like this go at it, makes for a very entertaining fight.

An entire talent pool is being completely eliminated by doing this. Also, what wouldnt the rules for residency be? Say some great players were playing in Maine could they just "move" to Mass. and play for Boston? Or what about states with multiple teams i.e. New York (Buffalo, NYI, NYR), who gets who? if they have to share then their talent pool gets severely thinned. The competition just wouldnt work, you would have some teams that had no business even being in the league, while some would look like allstar teams by comparrison.

Yeah STL definitely tried to goon it up tonight. Didnt work, hawks still out hit them. Sopel Owned Cam Janssen. Janssen Came at him blatantly going for the head shot, Sopel Brazilian Jujistued him over his back then crosschecked the hell out of him. How about tkachuk, talk about sacrificing your body. The first thing I thought when I saw this team, is could we please have access to any canadian leftovers that have dual citizenship. Seriously, you could probably put together a better team out of players left off the canadian roster. But you never know, there may be some unseen chemistry that just clicks for this team that doesnt with our competition. All that matters is clicking when it counts, bad teams beat good teams on the NHL landscape in single meetings all the time. If our goaltending is hot I think thats all it will take. i really dont see this team having a big problem producing offense, the problem I see is will our offense be able to keep pace with our opponents. if Miller is insane in this tourney, I can see us competing.

I almost stopped trying to analyze it since I was close to throwing my TV out the window during that game. Make no mistake this has been a common theme with the hawks this season....tons of scoring opportunities with no goals to show for it. Weve played more than a few games the scores were closer than they should have been given the opportunities weve had. I dont know what they can do to fix it aside from making better shooting decisions.

In all fairness to fans the world over, what constitutes bad fans as a whole? because some individuals had a bad experience with other individuals at the oppositions barn? I lived in St. Louis for 3 years and attended a good chunk of the hawks/blues games. I had a few run ins with people heckling me and in one instance (after a blues loss) a guy passing by me just drove his shoulder into me. On the other hand some of the blues fans I sat next to would talk hockey with me throughout the game and were very personable. I could have ignored the latter and said St. Louis has horrible fans(as i would get harrassed around the building in every single game I attended), the fact of the matter is there are plenty of individuals rooting for every team in sports that are piles of dog s***. Take the trolls that came over here to rub in a loss, on the same token, there are plenty of detroit trolls that show up to the hawk board (or any given team we play for that matter, I perused the hawk board yesterday night and it was rife with shark trolls) Thats part of the reason I dont post on that board, and post on a fan run board. People tend to judge based on their experience with a few individuals, and assume everyone must be just like them, the fact of the matter is we as fans arent that much different, there are bad and good apples in every group. and yes, some idiots do chant detroit sucks at games with other teams. I was at the hawks bruins game last friday, and right before puck drop a guy ahead of me yelled detroit sucks, I wanted to dump my beer on his head. Personally though I dont see what the issue with the chant is if were are playing detroit, I would take it as a compliment, as I think most fans are sick of detroit being a cup favorite if not the cup favorite every goddamn season.

Since i know there are those that are frothing at the mouth to do so, I am going to apologize in advance for the hawk fan trolls that no doubt will arrive before during and after the game. Don't think that behavior reflects upon all of us.

I like coming here and discussing hockey with rival teams, i am also a member of the blues board. I am not a "new fan" either. In fact Ive even been on this board 3 years longer than you, so by your ridiculous logic, I must be a better wings fan than you. I dont recall any of the blackhawk fans that posted here starting a thread. I posted here because this thread was started about the blackhawks and decided to comment. So in a thread about the Hawks should we not talk about the hawks? And finally, you are throwing around some misguided perceptions and making yourself look bad. Kane is worse defensively this year? watch a game or two, or at least take the easy way out and read a stat sheet. pointing out Seabrook as a weak link? That has simply got to be a joke.

He said "Good Call" i didnt see him rolling out any red carpet. Man some of you guys get real salty at the hawks success, i was always able to give credit to the wings where its due.

Yeah I wish the series tally looked less lopsided. But we did take 3 games to OT, with only one bad ass raping . A big factor were some really stupid turnovers that led to wing goals (I am looking at you Brian Campbell). Against any other team its a toss up, but doing that against the wings you are gonna pay.

Of all the good things Tallon has done, cap management is not his forte. I am not worried about Toews and Kane, its the supporting cast im worried about. If we do resign Havlat, pending the size of the contract, it can make retaining both Toews and Kane a problem (like many, if I had to choose one, it would be Toews). Alot of fans want him back, but they obvioulsy have nor take no time to have an understanding of the salary cap. Campbell and Huet were no doubt more of a McCub push than a Tallon push sign big names put butts in the seats, it worked when he was president of the cubs. Khabby wont get resigned, They will try and ride Huet next year, if he can put up plenty of game 5 performances and stay away from the game 4 performances it could turn out to be a good signing. Huet has been a spectacular save here, unscreened wrister from 40 feet out goal goalie all season, tonight was honestly his best performance of the season. The bottom line is somewhere, somebody is going to have to go. I dont think its going to be a huge issue next season, but 10/11 is another story. I am one of a few who is not really concerned with havlat, sure he put up good numbers this year, but like I said, I mean really to even make an attempt to keep this team together he cant sign for more than 4m per, and I dont that would happen as I am still not sold on his ability to remain healthy. I would be happier to see both bolland and versteeg resigned, if we resign havlat i am almost positive one of them goes elsewhere this offseason. Sharp was on pace for 40+ goals then got injured and had a drought, In Sharp Toews and Kane I think we have 3 players that will be consistent 30+ goal scorers going forward(Kane had a bit of a drought, but I have no doubt he will consistently put up 30+ going forward, hes also been a tremendous playmaker since day 1). With that said after them I would concentrate on getting our 15-25g scorers in a position to be retained (Ladd, Buff, Bolland, Versteeg). This makes Havlat the odd man out, I just dont see him in our future and yes I would love some hometown discounts, but with all these kids on the cusp of their first payday I doubt it. As far as Defenseman I just have one thing to say, Seabrook and Keith need to be retained.

I agree, the call was pretty suspect, seeing the hit it looked clean. I just dont see the overjoy at seeing a player get hurt like that no matter whose team they are on. I know this is your board but show some class.

The thing about the blackhawks attitude I precieve and other teams is this: The Blackhawks are happy to be here and other teams we've faced expect to be here. A positive step this year was making the playoffs for me, everything else thus far has been a bonus. I highly doubt they are overconfident, I don't think you go into a series over confident against a team that had their way with you most of the regular season. JQ better be mind raping Scotty Bowman, hes gonna need it.

Whoa cowboy, I chime in here every now and again for the past couple years, hardly with troll posts. Sure there's rivalry, but so far in my experience all of you have been decent no reason for me not to be the same back. Canucks board on the otherhand I ended up kind of turning into a troll after spending time trying to engage in productive discussion I would get randomly attacked, and got sick of how they never gave the hawks credit for anything, it was either the refs, or "X player played bad or else we would have won were better than the hawks". By my estimation (the Penalties dished out were even, throughout the series) with all the non calls they complained about, they needed about 30 minutes of PP time per game to win(seriously after every game they would run off about 15 "non calls" they claim they were shafted for).

Please win, the only thing that would make me cringe more than playing detroit in a 7 game series is facing a team that can beat detroit.....and the sharks.
