Its a better comparison than Nyquist in his prime vs. Datsyuk in the last 5 games of his career.

My point is that Nyquist can be counted on to score in the playoffs slightly less than your average 4th line grinder/plug. What was your point in comparing him to Datsyuk?

Its true. A 26 year old Nyquist did just outscore a 37 year old Datsyuk. However, Datsyuk scored 3 times as many points in the same number of games in the 2006 playoffs when he was Nyquists age. He also has a 72% playoff ppg over his career while Nyquist only has 22%. Just for reference sake, offensive dynamos Andersson has a 29% career playoff ppg, Glendening has 29%, Miller has 21%, Cleary has 42%, and Tangradi has 33%.

Radulov makes a ton of sense. My only concern would be Kenny thinking that one acquisition by itself would be enough.

In my scenario we'd be replacing Nyquist, Tatar, Helm, Miller, Richards and Pulkkinen from the forward roster with Okposo, Radulov, Ericsson, Callahan, Frk and Tangradi. Overall these are positive changes. If it turns out that Callahan or Tangradi cant cut it Im sure there will be no shortage of cheap 4th line grinders/pk guys looking for jobs. On the back end we'd be replacing Ericsson, Quincey and Marchenko from the roster with Subban, Trouba and Sproul. Again, these are positive changes.Sure, it would be a bummer to give up Mantha and Svechnikov if they end up developing like we hope they will. But I think having potentially the best blue line in the league for the next 5-10 years would make up for it. Edit: As to your second point about the Jets not being interested in our forwards; I dont know much about their prospect pool but this year the Jets only had 1 winger who out scored Tatar and that was Wheeler. And even if their forward prospects are the bomb, still doesnt mean that they wouldnt be interested in an experienced winger who has put up 30 goals in THIS league. Personally, I think Tatar - Scheifele - Wheeler would be lethal

100% yes. Trade Nyquist+ for defensive help and replace him with Radulov for a year or two until Mantha and Svechnikov are ready. No brainer

One guy who has never been a GM, one guy who will certainly not be available, and one guy whos greatest accomplishment has been making one competent trade one time a couple years ago. No thanks.

10 years of DeKeyser - Subban would be far more beneficial than 5 or 6 players/prospects/picks that may or may not pan out

If I were Holland, my number 1 priority this offseason would be PK Subban. If the rumors of his availability are true, Holland has got to make that happen. I would be willing to trade anything up to and including Mantha+++. And if it turns out he is available but gets traded to another team, then Holland can GTFO.

Guess they should have tried a little harder to lose to us.
