I watched that game with my brother in a bar in Fort Collins, Colorado, behind enemy lines so to speak ... when Freddie scored that goal we both went ape. Seeing Avs fans' dismay up close like that is truly priceless

I like Naslund a lot and think he has a lot of hockey left in him. If they have a shot at Naslund for a year for $4-5 million you know Holland will pull the trigger. Naslund wants to win, he's got that desperate veteran demeanor As for the glut at forward I wouldn't cry about trading away a couple unproven bodies to stock up on draft picks, might be nice to draft in every round one of these years

Why is Nick Lidstrom's nickname not Saint Nick? It's perfect for him. He's the player who's always giving, and he can do no wrong. He's never missed the playoffs. He wears red and white. I'm sure someone else has thought of this but I've yet to notice it pass into common parlance Gordie is Mr. Hockey, Stevie is The Captain, Nick is Saint Nick
