  1. I wish I could have experienced this moment and all the speculation leading up to it live. What an event. I didn't realize ET was involved in our victory.
  2. Honestly AA is the only on of that group I particularly care about. Tatar would be nice to hold onto as well but if we're blowing up the team for a complete rebuild I wouldn't be distraught if he were traded.
  3. Is today the trade deadline?
  4. Regardless of whether you want to trade Mrazek or Howard, I think it's a good idea to acquire a legitimate backup for next season (unless the organization is still in tank mode). I don't trust Coreau enough to potentially shoulder half the season, and I don't trust Mrazek to be consistent for the majority of the season, and I don't trust Howard to be healthy for the majority of the season.
  5. Hes so hot right now
  6. I'll add that Blashill hasn't yet been fired to list of supporting evidence.
  7. What about from playoffs to dead last in the conference? Honestly curious, I haven't looked.
  8. If Blashill is still here at the start of next season I would consider that irrefutable evidence that he and Holland are actively tanking. Otherwise he needs to lose his job.
  9. Jarnkrok currently has 21 points on a better coached and better built team that's 4th in their division. I don't think we missed out on much there.
  10. How many teams go from playoff spot to last in the conference in a season? I can't imagine its all that common.
  11. I actually believe it as well. In fact while I'm just speculating now, I wouldn't be surprised if Holland and Babcock had a discussion about this possibility when they were trying to extend his contract. Its been clear we don't have any superstars in the pipeline for a few years, so they both knew the decision to try to battle and continue to slip into the playoffs vs tank for a complete rebuild would be fast approaching. I don't see Babcock as the type to want to tank. Meanwhile Blashill has continued to give Mrazek and Sheahan and all these other under-performers plenty of ice time without doing anything to really improve their play. The PP is almost historically low. Players who we know are decent/good are playing poorly. There isn't a whole lot of cohesion on the ice between players. The Wings are last in the East. This is the organization tanking.
  12. because the organization is actively tanking. also why blashill is still here.
  13. I guess Dats is still scoring afterall
  14. Could you imagine the league-wide mutiny if the wings finally missed the playoffs, only to immediate get the top pick and rebound right back into competitiveness?
  15. It looked like he wasn't. I think he just swung his stick in frustration and wasn't thinking about what he could possibly hit or the consequences. Then he hit the guy's face and immediately was called for a penalty. Right after he slaps the guy with his stick you can see he immediately was like "why the hell did I just do that". Either way he deserves a suspension.
