    Game Day Program 10/21/2016

Not sure if this will work, but hoping it does. Good evening all, I just went to my first ever Wings game on friday night. First of all, I was blown away. I'm a huge sports fan in general, I live in Portland Oregon and am in the coast guard. While my old roommate and I were living in Seattle in 2014, he got me hooked on watching Wings games (He's from Detroit) We made a pact in 2014 that he'd get me to The Joe during the final year, and let me tell ya I was impressed! As a huge sports fan (and new hockey fan), I couldn't believe the atmosphere, the fans, the banners, not to mention seeing Dylan Larkin get in a fight. every sporting venue I go to, I try to bring back a program from the game. It's kind of something my Dad always did, and I remember reading through all of his old sports programs and old sports illustrated when I was growing up. I had 2 programs from the game on friday night, and they were left at the arena. If there is ANY POSSIBLE way someone on this thread may have snagged a couple or have an extra, I would be more than happy to send some shipping/handling to cover the cost. I'll leave you with this, When I went to go to my section to get to my seat, I asked the lady working if I was in the right place and went to show her my ticket, and all she said to me was "Of course you are honey, you're in the Joe Lewis Arena" Go Wings!
  3. First things first: I have to say, never once did I think that when I started this site back in September of 1996 that it would still be going strong 20 years later. It's truly unbelievable and I'm so thankful that thousands of you have made these forums your home and community of friends over all of these years. 20 Years. Wow... hard to believe that number! Welcome to version 4.0 of the LetsGoWings.com Forums! This is the largest update to the forums since v3.0 was launched back in 2010, and by far the most extensive. The site now features a completely responsive design and should run far faster than the previous rendition and includes many bells and whistles that weren't available on the previous version. Unfortunately it took a bit longer for this upgrade to happen (and, truth be told, the server is still running background processes to update an absolutely massive database), but I hope you feel it was worth the wait! As with any upgrade of this magnitude there's going to be some tinkering going on (some things may look odd or out of place). Don't fret! There'll be some periodic updates as the last wrinkles are ironed out with this release. Feel free to PM me through the forums here if you find a bug, have a problem, etc.. Thank you and LGRW!

    Official - Little Caesars Arena

The name for the new Detroit Red Wings arena, centered in the forthcoming District Detroit, has been announced today. It's officially to be named Little Caesars Arena. It's reportedly a 20-year naming rights deal, so the name of the arena will stand for at least the next two decades. http://detroitsportsnation.com/detroit-nhl/nwebb/breaking-new-red-wings-arena-to-be-named-little-caesars-arena/69657/?utm_campaign=coschedule&utm_source=facebook_page&utm_medium=Detroit%20Sports%20Nation&utm_content=BREAKING:%20New%20Red%20Wings%20arena%20to%20be%20named%20Little%20Caesars%20Arena
  9. Can you say butthurt? Love our guy's (on 97.1) response on Twitter. http://detroit.cbslocal.com/2016/04/18/tampa-radio-host-calls-red-wings-fans-classless-chicken-spit-twitter-feud-with-valenti-and-foster-ensues/?cid=facebook_Valenti_and_Foster Tampa radio host Steve Duemig of WDAE had some harsh words for Detroit fans after the Wings’ 2-0 shutout of the Lightning on Sunday. Duemig didn’t sugarcoat anything, calling Detroit fans “classless chicken spit.” “So Detroit shows one of their players — or best players — is a chicken and their fans are classless, classless chicken spit. Of course we already knew that from last year,” Duemig said. “But way to go, chicken spits of Detroit, and thank you for putting the chicken dance in our repertoire for the rest of the day, cause that’s what you’re going to hear.” Duemig took exception to a fight between Detroit’s Justin Abdelkader and Tampa’s Brian Boyle in which Abdelkader refused to take his gloves off, and a fan dumping beer on Boyle during the skirmish.
