Hi. My name is Vladdy16 and I am a hockeyholic.
Please help!! I have resorted to reading the Pistons and Heat boards.
No, I haven't joined, but that's because of two things: 1) I refuse to jump on a bandwagon just because they're winning and 2) The "banter" is downright idiotic.
I swear, if I DO end up signing up for one of these things out of desperation for playoff action, any playoff action, I will be suing Bettman and Co. for pushing me over the edge.
Somebody please smack me upside the head. Quickly.

Can't wait to read the "Phoenix: I still think it's a hockey market" chapter of Gary Bettman's autobiography. I'm guessing it's going to be chapter 11.

Watch hockey!!!!!!!
I'd not resort to basketball forums as I don't give much of a damn about the NBA, but it does get a little bit interesting to watch starting the quarterfinals. I watched a good bit of the Dallas-Phoenix series and it was pretty entertaining. Out of all the regular season games, minus going to the opener of the Hornets in New Orleans, I probably never watched a full regular season game.
I usually enjoy college sports more, and they are all done this season.

You've gotta admit, it's nice seeing two teams playing at the highest level (one being from Detroit err...Auburn Hills) and doing well.

The Pistons are my only sports fix right now... I'll take what I can get, and I'll be honest -- it's fun watching that team play.
I don't know what I'll do with myself when hockey starts up again. I can hardly believe it's been over a year since something really signifigant has happened with the site here...

Thanks, VIB. I knew I could count on you, at least! Better, but I'm thinking it might take a line of people with assorted weapons, a la Airplane, to get me back in line, though.
No offense to all basketball fans. I'm not saying Pistons don't deserve their props, but I gave up basketball in 1991 (Pistons/Trailblazers). It's not even that it's basketball so much, but that I would stoop to reading other message boards to get that fan's playoff excitement. I feel like I've been unfaithful.

The Pistons are one of the only good things left in basketball. Like hockey, the best of basketball went out with the 80s. Basketball was my first love before hockey, so I've resorted to watching Pistons game religiously. It's not the same but its gets me by.

I haven't resorted to watching basketball yet, but just last night I found myself watching a rebroadcast of the NCAA Lacrosse tournament (Virginia beat Navy 10-8). So sad, but at least lacrosse has goalies and sticks.
