A hearty 'Good Morning!' from the new Poppa! I've got a brief moment as I'm home from the hospital before I head back. smile.gif

Labor pains started not too long after Liz's appointment with her doctor on Thursday (2pm). Lasted until mid-night Thursday then died down. She awoke me at 3:30am with some more intense ones, and we were off to the hospital at 4:30am.

After some labtests the doctors decided "well, she's 4-and-a-half, 80%, a week overdue... let's do this" smile.gif

Water broken shortly after 10am, epidural shortly after that (at my insistence, lol), and the real pushing came on around 5pm...

and at 6:12pm, this little bundle of joy appeared:

Congrats!!!

It's a hell of a rush isn't it???

It's been almost 16 years since my daughter was born, but I still remember well that feeling when I first held her...nothing compares to it, and unless you've been through it, you cannot really understand it...

My step-sister went into labor late last night as well...not sure if she had the baby yet or not (I'm at work and haven't talked to anyone yet today)...

Congrats to Liz as well! Was she screaming that she hated you and stuff during labor pains? I always get a kick when I hear stuff like that like on movies and shows. laugh.gif
