Well, I'm watching Court TV and the verdict is just about to be announced very, very shortly. Anyone watching? They suspect that Jackson could be in prison for about 18 months.

So, just thought I'd let you know. When it's announced, what will your thoughts be on it?

And also one more note: If this should be posted in the Political Forum, please move it and sorry!

Edit: How silly of me! I heard it wrong - it is possible for him to face 18 years, not months! My bad! Judge is making the stand in just a few seconds.

This isnt political.

I'm gonna say he gets off. He wont be not guilty on all charges. But he wont get any serious guilty charges against him. The case was very wishy washy and really didnt have the smoking gun so to speak.

I see $$$$$$$ all over the accuser's family. Their history backs that up and the fact that Jackson has paid families off before points toward that.

However, if Wacko Jacko is really wacko enough to molest children, he needs to do some time with our favorite CA inmate Charlie Manson

VERDICT: You were right GWG! He was found NOT GUILTY ON ALL 10 ACCOUNTS! The crowd outside the courtroom are astounded and hootin' and hollaring that he was found not guilty!

They need to have some evidence against him to convict him. Glad to see he was found not guilty. I had a hard time believing the family of the accuser with their history

All the evidence in the world wouldn't have convicted Jacko on all counts, HE'S WAY TOOOOOOOOOOOO RICH. Even if he did go to jail, they'd basically hava to build an entire Prison for him, because if he EVER got hurt in prison, the state he was in would be destroyed in legal suits.

Not too shocking there, honestly. I think that the defense did too good a job, and the prosecution didn't do a good enough job.

It's pretty much just the OJ Simpson trial all over again...

It's amazing what money and fame can buy you.

I'm sure it is very difficult to prove these allegations. It's a he-said, he-said situation. And it sounds like there were some questions about the accuser's family. But it's never fair to blame the victim for circumstances like this (saying "they knew he was a perv, they just wanted money" isn't fair.)

But I sure can't get past the fact that Jackson admits freely that he regularly sleeps with little boys. And you notice he never has slumber parties with little girls. There is something seriously wrong with that man.

Now we have yet another famous incident of a Hollywood star getting off. Sigh.

Get used to it.

Actually, I'll give you a little tip, if the boys that Jackson were "molesting" had money, the trial may have gone different.

If Nicole Simpson were rich, or a celebrity, there may have been a chance that OJ would've gone to jail, but hey, OJ is really rich, and Nicole Simpson wasn't. Money, for the most part, is a key to everything in the world.

Not too big of a surprise. From what I saw, they didn't have any real forensic evidence against Jackson. If a celeb like that is going to ever be convicted of a crime like that, there will have to be substantial PROOF of wrong doing.

I still think MJ is messed up though, and I don't doubt that he has actually molested boys. He needs help. Hopefully next time the police will have more evidence against him that will hold up in court.
And I wonder
If everything could ever feel this real forever
If anything could ever be this good again

Excwpt in the OJ trial the prosecution's evidence went beyond perjury and hearsay.

I love your guys' attitude towards this.

He's guilty in the tabloids, so clearly he did it.

There was NO evidence that he did it, and overwhlmig evidence that the accusations were FALSE.

You are saying he shouldn't have gotten off...

Do you understand the term REASONABLE DOUBT?

Even in the OJ case, where there was far more evidence, there was still reasonable doubt. It was just a shred in a lot of people's minds, but the fact that most of the stuff was circumstancial and the prosecution had to jam it all together poorly, where some of it was kind of contradictory, brought up the reasonable doubt.

You guys are getting so worked up ovr the money thing...if money got you off, then Martha Stewart would have been acquitted.
Instead, she was convicted by a panel of jurors for one crime because of how they felt about the charges that were dropped! And then she was denied a retrial despite this gross miscarriage of justice.

I don't understand this part either. I bet that if I slept with little boys in my bed and admitted it then I would be in jail or killed by their parents.

There are two simple reasons he got off clean. He's famous, and he's rich. End of story.
