Pretty fancy name for someone who makes the coffee and answers the phone (That's what the marketing and executive assistants at my company do).

I am a Pre-Nursing Student and work at one of the larger funeral homes in Michigan.
Heh. As soon as you become a nurse, you can send business to your other employer. Talk about job security.

Basically whoever finishes the coffee last makes some more.
Some of it's a lot of paper pushing and boring repetitive work, but I rarely ***** or whine about it cause while it can be pretty boring at times, it's necessary so I usually just have the just do it attitude and get the work done. Perfect example, I just barely met a deadline yesterday mailing out information for a seminar we are hosting for some existing clients and hopefully for new business as well and making people aware through the letter, web site, sign-up forms of both the mail and on-line variety, sorting through the information and sealing nearly 75 letters all by myself takes up a LOT of time.
I am the only one at the company though in which marketing is the primary role, so I'm in a really good position where I can have flexibility define my job functions and what should be done and how it gets done with a good bit of control.

Nice, that's got to be a pretty exciting and demanding job. Is there a lot of down-time? Only part that stinks is you got to stay in for lunch/dinner I assume.
It can be exciting and exhausting at times but also quite rewarding at times. There is a lot of down time, but sometimes we can be very busy. Though I am looking forward to the NHL resuming to occupy me on night duty
The lunch and dinners we get are great so I'm more than happy to eat on station, quite often it can be the highlight of a shift

Firefighter, eh? What type of apparatus do you guys use ??? I'm a Project Manager at a Custom Fire Apparatus Manufacturer, the largest in N.A. EDIT: oh btw, I was at a Timmy's in Vancouver twice in the past ten days (in the Airport) I was on vacation. At my old gig we had Horton's coffee, we special ordered it from a store in Woodstock (they do s**t for Timberjack). I scored a couple of cans before I transferred gigs!!!
At my station we have two machines, one Volvo and one Mercedes. They are just basic fire engines with a couple of manual operation ladders and general equipment. Some other stations have more specialist machines/equipment and much bigger mechanical ladders.
