Hey all, I'm going with some family members on a road trip, and one of our stops is gonna be in Marquette. Can anyone recommend a good place to stay, or a decnt restaurant or something? We're gonna be there for a day or two in mid-to-late July. I'd really appreciate any help, as I've only been the U.P. twice, and that was on the Eastern side.
Places to stay in Marquette?

There's all your usual hotels and whatnot, but I'd recommend the Ramada Inn on Washington St. They have a really nice restaurant there too. The food is a bit pricey but its good. There's also a Holiday Inn and a Days Inn on US 41 if you want a bit cheaper of a place to stay. For other food, there's an Applebee's, Fazolis, Red Lobster, Hudson's is really good, and that's like right in front of the Holiday Inn. They have burgers and stuff like that, and really good milkshakes. And there's like 5 pizza places, and the main fast food joints.
Hope that'll help.

Thanks for the memories

i agree with wingsgirl, the ramada is probably the best hotel in marquette. that's where i always stay before i move in at northern. as far as restaurants go, i recommend Vango's (on north 3rd street), the Panini Grill (also on north 3rd), and the Portside (on washington, down the street from the ramada). if you go to the portside, try the breadsticks, they're great
