I think that given their respective ages at this point in time, 9 years can be a little too much.

They're both adults...I dated a girl that was 18 when I was 28...we dated for a couple of years...both of her parents loved me and were mad at her when we broke up...
As a parent, when my daughter is 19, i wouldn't have a problem with her dating a guy who was 9 years older as long as he treated her good. If he was an a**hole, I'd hate him regardless of his age...

Nowadays, I don't think it matters as much anymore. My mom and step-dad are 9 years apart, but my mom is the older one in this case. But no, I don't think it's that big of a deal. I guess it just depends on who you are.

Depends on the maturity of the 2. One would think a 19 year old girl is going to be a lot less mature than a late 20 year old male. But then again, some of us guys never mature
