Alright, tribute.....

NOW you're just pulling names out of your REAR!

You want Dafoe to back-up Legace, do you?

What happens when Legace proves, (once again), that's he's incapable of playing Starters minutes?

Then you've got Dafoe.

A guy who's so injury prone, he makes Martin Straka look downright ROBUST by comparison.

Jeez.....the Thrashers signed him to back-up Pasi Nurminen and he couldn't even stay healthy enough to do THAT effectively.

Once Legace AND Dafoe go down.....

THEN what have you got?

I would take dafoe if real cheap. He was a real good starter for years until injuries hit. With the layoff maybe he has healed up and is ready for a good season again.I would start manny, but dafoe does have experience and maybe could earn the top spot.It would be a roll of the the dice.

The "He's not Osgood, let's get him" stuff is getting ridiculous.

Osgood is cheaper than Dafoe, better, doesn't have the injury problems or consistency issues Dafoe does, and unlike Dafoe Osgood has proven he can excel behind a terrible defense.

He was real good starter? Yeah, Osgood IS real good starter.

That's like the Wings signing John Leclair to 5m/yr and hoping he scores 50 goals.
