TNBT 3 Report post Posted August 24, 2005 Zetterberg Exactly. If we can only keep one of the two, then I would advise Holland to do this to Zetterberg:

Christian 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2005 I'd take Datsuyk. He's got more talent and I have hope he won't turn into a Fedorov crying diva.

RyanBarnes! 293 Report post Posted August 24, 2005 Z. His playmaking ability is on par with Datsyuk's. He's not as skilled with the puck, but he's still more skilled than about 80 percent of the rest. He's got the right attitude and will develop into a excellent two-way player in time. eva unit zero 271 Report post Posted August 24, 2005 I'd take Datsuyk. He's got more talent and I have hope he won't turn into a Fedorov crying diva. Datsyuk is better at handling the puck. Zetterberg is a good or better at everything else. There is no debate.
Christian 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2005 There is no debate. Zetterberg (15G, 28A = 43 Pts) Datsyuk (30G, 38A = 68 PTs.) Zetter had about 10 games less, so let's give him at least 2 more Goals and 6 more Assists in that period (which is generous). While I would love to keep both and both are different players I would put my money on Datsyuk if I had to make a choice to retain one of them. Of course there is debate, there is always debate. twins1729 0 Report post Posted August 26, 2005 This is really, really, really, really tough. Have I said how tough this was? After a loooonnnnng deliberation and lots of contemplating. I choose: Zetterberg, better all around player and team player, but I still want both.

fightfan24 0 Report post Posted August 26, 2005 Datsyuk by a nose -- he has a couple 100 point seasons ahead of him and is deadly on breakaways (we have the shootout factor going). Tough question though. If it is just this season I'd choose Zata he'd benefit from a full season here more than Dats -- thats just this season.

MrKnowItAll 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2005 I honestly cannot make a choice. I can't think about this now!!! I won't repeat everything I posted elsewhere here, but what I like the most about both of them is having them play together. Don't you think these two have given us some glimpses of the most exciting hockey around? If I could have my wish it would be to see both #13 and #40 retired together and hanging from the rafters at Yzerman Arena in 2030.
Ruvio 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2005 I'd take Datsuyk. He's got more talent and I have hope he won't turn into a Fedorov crying diva. Fedorov owns, but I'd agree with you on Datsyuk over Zetterburg
eva unit zero 271 Report post Posted September 18, 2005 Zetterberg (15G, 28A = 43 Pts) Datsyuk (30G, 38A = 68 PTs.) Datsyuk entered the league at 23...he was 25 last season. Zetterberg entered the league at 22, and was 23 last season. Zetterberg is 25 now...he's a much better player than Datsyuk and he will have a HUGE year.
