RusDRW 155 Report post Posted August 24, 2005 who is Ellis?
Icer 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2005 meh. Why meh? Ellis was probably the best day to day player on the Griffins last season and one of the big surprises. If he keeps improving the way he has the past few seasons, I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the Wings roster in a year or two.
diehrd 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2005 I seen he was 6'1" and 215lbs? Is he aggressive?
Barnes52 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2005 Great signing, he's a good 3rd/4th line guy and not aftraid of the front of the net. Not known to drop the gloves, but he's gritty! I've always liked Ellis, glad they showed some faith in him with the 2yr deal, he will be a Red Wing, if not this year, than next for sure....
J-Swift 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2005 Well, if the Wings refuse to go out and get some grit via the free agent market, they might as well try to develop it from within the system.

That's all anyone ever talks about on this board, getting Datsyuk, Zets and Knonwall signed... it's a priority, yes, but not the only thing that matters
Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted August 25, 2005 That's all anyone ever talks about on this board, getting Datsyuk, Zets and Knonwall signed... Not like those three are the future success and competitiveness of the team or anything. No reason to be concerned. Move along.
Rob the Badger 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2005 Hopefully he stays in GR the entire season. He needs the work, but I could see him playing in Detroit in the future. He's got a nose for the net.
