Hey guys, what do you think of my fantasy team? 8 team league.

C R. Lang (Det - C)
C P. Demitra (LA - C)
LW K. Tkachuk (StL - LW)
LW H. Zetterberg (Det - LW)
RW D. Alfredsson (Ott - RW)
RW M. Havlat (Ott - RW)
D M. Zidlicky (Nsh - D)
D A. Foote (Cls - D)
D B. Rafalski (NJ - D)
D N. Kronwall (Det - D)
Util D. Heatley (Ott - RW)
BN J. Spezza (Ott - C)
BN S. Samsonov (Bos - LW)
BN N. Zherdev (Cls - RW)

G E. Nabokov (SJ - G)
BN M. Kiprusoff (Cgy - G)

I thought Nabokov and Kipper were good picks since neither of them will have to adjust that much to the pad changes. Also everyone in my league (including me) forgot about Heatley cause yahoo had him ranked really low. I got him with my 14th pick. What a steal!

Edit: I picked up Leopold too.

In a 2005 study published by the journal Nature, researchers at Durham University in England concluded that, across a range of sports, we found that wearing red is consistently associated with a higher probability of winning. The researchers also suggested that red's effect may subconsciously intimidate opponents in athletic contests, especially when the athletes are equal in skill and strength.

Hey dude, what do I do if I have a "utility" spot there? Like, I got rid of Hull and got Afinogenov and Frolov, but I think I accidently also dumped another player that I wasn't aware of. Now I got only one spot empty(or utility), so what's up with that?

You can add a player, if it's yahoo. Just go to Add player, pick who you want to get, and it'll come up with the player drop screen. If you have an empty slot, that should be one of the options. Select it, and there you go, it's full. Why did you drop Hull, great trade bait!

ARice, your team is awsome, but you have way too many guys from Ottawa, IMO.
If they get shutout, that's gonna hurt. You can get some awsome trades for them, which I'de explore. Look into Gagne and somebody for a Havlat. I have the same RW pairing in one of my leagues and have been trying to move Alf or Hav.

Jonsson is retired and Cechmanek is playing all year over seas. For a great sleeper goalie pick up either Lethonen or Emery. Defense has numerous sleepers, Tverdosky being one of the better ones, along with Ozolinsh.

I took your advice and traded my buddy Tkachuk for Gonchar. Gonchar is gonna be huge this season... and I had a weak D. Anyway, I need to unload one (or two) of Heatley, Havlat, Alfredsson, and Spezza. What would you guys reccomend doing (position wise what should i get, who should i get, and which should I trade)?

BlueDevil-- sure I'm up for another league. thumbup.gif

Here's me, i think i'm in good shape expect for Goaltending. Ozzie got hurt and a groin isn't a good thing to have lingering on your season. But he wants to play here so badly i think he'll have a good year irrigardless. That's why i went and got fernandez just in case. I'm such a homer, i've got almost all wings. I think i'll be rewarded on kronwall and williams though.

I was wondering what you guys thought of this lineup

1. C Robert Lang
2. C Pavel Datsyuk
3. LW Henrik Zetterberg
4. LW Sergei Samsonov
5. RW Martin Havlat
6. RW Brian Gionta
7. D Scott Niedermayer
8. D Niklas Kronwall
9. D Joni Pitkanen
10. D Nick Boynton
11. BN Jeff Friesen
12. BN David Vyborny
13. BN Kris Draper
14. BN Marc-Andre Bergeron
15. G Andrew Raycroft
16. G Chris Osgood

It seems like I did a pretty good job on the front side (I could only do autopick, since the computer can't seem to do a live draft), but after that I don't think I did as well. Schneider and possibly Kronwall are about the only good pickups I had.

I was wondering should I drop Marc-Andre Bergeron for Rostislav Klesla. I think Klesla might have a big year with Columbus.
