DesertWing 11 Report post Posted September 15, 2005 Who Cares?!?!? Michigan is wayyyyyyyyyy better. Michigan is not as good as Notre Dame You shut your mouth........ Michigan would have won that game if the damn refs didn't give them the ball when we were inside the 1........ and you guys can't say anything.......all you do is play pansies oh wow Stanton for Heisman....wow 700 yards againt KENT STATE thats a real accomplishment...... you'll see next week....ND will destroy you LOL. I wondered how long it would take for a UofM fan to start bitching about the refs. The refs didn't lose you the game today, your quarterback did. As far as "pansies" go, have you looked to see who you're playing next? Since when is Eastern Michigan University a football powerhouse? The only reason i am "bitching" about the refs is cause EVERYBODY..... the announcers, the radio guys....... said that it would be without a doubt Michigan football.......and what does that little sieve in the replay booth do......HE GIVES IT TO ND WHEN HENNE WAS DOWN....... NIU was better than both Kent State and Hawaii COMBINED........every team deserves ONE cupcake.......but no you guys have to put them all over your schedule.... Oh yeah.....i would take Henne over Stanton anyday.....Stanton has always choked under pressure.....at least Henne gave us a chance to tie..... and if henne didn't throw that INT and we still lost.. you would not be saying that henne lost the game when has stanton choked under pressure. Michigan would have, and should have lost that game last year to the spartans. State lost stanton halfway thru the game. If he was in, that would be a different story. From a spartan fan to a wolverine fan, let it go. You will probably beat us in lansing in a few weeks anyway. I did let it go.........but it came back when you spartan fans have to rub it in..... You come onto a thread about MSU with a comment like this: "Who Cares?!?!? Michigan is wayyyyyyyyyy better." and then you have the cojones to say the Spartan fans are rubbing it in??? dallas27 7 Report post Posted September 15, 2005 Actually, never applied to U of M, nor did I want to- it was MSU all the way. Give me a break, have you ever walked around the U of M campus? I know two white 4.0 students with more accolades than you and I put together (not to mention alumni ties) that were rejected. I also know 3 minority students with GPA's significantly lower than those of the others- hardly any extra curricular activities that were accepted. Does this describe every student (white or not) at U of M? Of course not, but to deny that there is a problem there is idiotic. I didn't deny anything going on there I simply stated it's not as hard to get in as people think. It is still hard, don't get me wrong, but as I said if you have those three things you will have a chance. I'm assuming that the two white students ACT scores were high? If they had that much going for them I find it hard to believe that they didn't get accepted.
dallas27 7 Report post Posted September 15, 2005 don't bring it unless you are prepared to have it brought back to you. Or the saying, "you can dish it out but you can't take it" which I like better.

dallas27 7 Report post Posted September 15, 2005 It seems that you have a lot to learn about politics. Nah, I played hockey for 15 years, I was surrounded by politics. I guess the people/friends I know just got lucky. Whatever.
archemedes 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2005 lol...........i havent been to michigan yet..........but in three years, i'll be there..... Well, for your sake, I hope you're asian- otherwise you might have a broken heart. Rejected from U of M? Personally I know 20some people that got accepted into U of M the past 3 years that went to a public school and are white. If you have the grades, the act score, and a letter of recomendation it isn't that hard to get into U of M. Whether you want to accomplish those three things is up to you not your race. Actually, never applied to U of M, nor did I want to- it was MSU all the way. Give me a break, have you ever walked around the U of M campus? Of course not, but to deny that there is a problem there is idiotic. having spent time at MSU I can say the same there, my uncle was aprofessor there, my aunt graduated from there, and they tell you that there are people on any campus that shouldn't be.Part of being accepted is personality not just grades and extra curricular activities.(neither one would let me apply at MSU the suggested a community college since that was the education I would get in the area I was looking at.I ended up at GA tech)
KronwallCRUNCH 5 Report post Posted September 15, 2005 No doubt that U of M isn't the only place that these problems exist, it's just the most out of hand.

KronwallCRUNCH 5 Report post Posted September 16, 2005 not necessarily, it's just the most publicized. and out of all of the schools in the country, why do you think that is? i'd say because it has the worst problem.
RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted September 17, 2005 not necessarily, it's just the most publicized. I have to agree - the Supreme court case just gave UM that reputation. Simply stating that "I know 4.0 white students who didn't get in" is ridiculous. Alot of 4.0 students from many races don't get in. Life isn't fair - the college admission process takes into account many other factors. Someone's always crying about why they didn't get their chance but someone else did....wah. One of my best high school girlfriends and I both applied to Berkeley - I had better grades and ACT/SAT scores - yet she got in and didn't - probably because she was legacy'd by her father. I wound up at UM and had the best four years of my life - with friends I will have for the rest of my life. Point is, you never know what cards life will deal you - and many times it works out for the better. OK so I'm way off topic, anyhow coming from a UM fan - for what it's worth - Go Spartans tomorrow! RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted September 18, 2005 Congrats to the Spartans. REALLY thought they were going to blow it with that pathetic 4th quarter performance - thoughts of last's years game vs UM . ND showed some guts coming from behind like that - when you get to overtime it usually means both teams deserve to win - but hey the Green and White came out ahead. Still not sure about Smith - but you have to give him credit for this one....

They have a great chance to make a run at a good bowl and the big ten conference. However, they have had big wins before and they lost to poor teams the next week. Next week is against Illinois. Might be a perfect case for that. Let's hope not. Then michigan state plays michigan. Looks like this year's annual game is going to be really good and key in the big ten. I am going to reserve comments til after the illini game tho. Michigan has a tough game in Wisconsin too. I think this game against the badgers will tell you the most about the wolverines.
