Rejected from U of M?
Personally I know 20some people that got accepted into U of M the past 3 years that went to a public school and are white. If you have the grades, the act score, and a letter of recomendation it isn't that hard to get into U of M. Whether you want to accomplish those three things is up to you not your race.

Going by one game sure they are better. But who has the best winning % all-time? I think that would make Michigan better

Actually, never applied to U of M, nor did I want to- it was MSU all the way. Give me a break, have you ever walked around the U of M campus? I know two white 4.0 students with more accolades than you and I put together (not to mention alumni ties) that were rejected. I also know 3 minority students with GPA's significantly lower than those of the others- hardly any extra curricular activities that were accepted. Does this describe every student (white or not) at U of M? Of course not, but to deny that there is a problem there is idiotic.

I did let it go.........but it came back when you spartan fans have to rub it in..... |
You come onto a thread about MSU with a comment like this:
"Who Cares?!?!?
Michigan is wayyyyyyyyyy better."
and then you have the cojones to say the Spartan fans are rubbing it in???

Good point!
don't bring it unless you are prepared to have it brought back to you.

I didn't deny anything going on there I simply stated it's not as hard to get in as people think. It is still hard, don't get me wrong, but as I said if you have those three things you will have a chance. I'm assuming that the two white students ACT scores were high? If they had that much going for them I find it hard to believe that they didn't get accepted.

Or the saying, "you can dish it out but you can't take it" which I like better.

It seems that you have a lot to learn about politics.

having spent time at MSU I can say the same there, my uncle was aprofessor there, my aunt graduated from there, and they tell you that there are people on any campus that shouldn't be.Part of being accepted is personality not just grades and extra curricular activities.(neither one would let me apply at MSU the suggested a community college since that was the education I would get in the area I was looking at.I ended up at GA tech)

I have to agree - the Supreme court case just gave UM that reputation. Simply stating that "I know 4.0 white students who didn't get in" is ridiculous. Alot of 4.0 students from many races don't get in. Life isn't fair - the college admission process takes into account many other factors. Someone's always crying about why they didn't get their chance but someone else did....wah. One of my best high school girlfriends and I both applied to Berkeley - I had better grades and ACT/SAT scores - yet she got in and didn't - probably because she was legacy'd by her father. I wound up at UM and had the best four years of my life - with friends I will have for the rest of my life. Point is, you never know what cards life will deal you - and many times it works out for the better.
OK so I'm way off topic, anyhow coming from a UM fan - for what it's worth - Go Spartans tomorrow!

Wow! From a michigan fan saying GO SPARTANS. That is soooooo thoughtful. Almost makes me want to root for Michigan tomorrow as well.
Well, maybe not. Hey, they are playing my school. GO EASTERN MICHIGAN! (please don't get beat that bad)

ND showed some guts coming from behind like that - when you get to overtime it usually means both teams deserve to win - but hey the Green and White came out ahead. Still not sure about Smith - but you have to give him credit for this one....
