Who would have ever thought we'd get this far? I came in about 800 pages (and a lifetime)ago, and never regretted it.

I've a question. I've approached a couple people on this, but I'll throw it out to the rest of you. We have a chance to rent a house in TC for training camp. It is a three bedroom house, sleeps about a dozen people. The week would cost us $650. Is anyone else who is going up be willing to go in on it with us? Please let me know as soon as possible, because the longer we wait to commit to it, the more chance we won't be able to get it. I talked to Dawn, Kristi, Linda, Jenny and Sheri, but Michelle, would you and Bryan be interested? And anyone else who is thinking about going up for camp. Let me know, please!

Hi, Pat! That sounds like a total blast, I hope you can get lots of people to share the house with you, if that works out. I wanted to answer you, even though I don't like the answer I have to give. Unless something monumental happens around here and/or I find a sugar daddy/win the lotto before September, I don't see me being able to spend $1000's on a trip to TC. Flight alone will be $680-$900, depending on whether I want to spend all day and transfer planes in three different airports or not.

Good idea, though, I hope the locals can hook up with you and be there to snoogle the boyz at camp. One day, maybe, I wish!!!

Well, it goes without saying that I am heartsick. This isn't the way it was meant to be. And now the long summer begins. I'm going to miss my angel - I already do. I wish I could give the guys a hug and tell them that no matter what I'm proud of them. I think we all are in our own ways.

I am with you, Pat! As much as I will miss them terribly all summer, they will come back stronger in the Fall. Yes, Nick and Homer, too. They WILL come back, one more year. I am intensely proud of this team, every last man in that locker room.

Now that I am less emotional, I have to say the injuries and the fallout from them got the Wings off track, and they just didn't have time to get it pulled back together again. It didn't help that the Preds were healthy (Hal Gill, who cared???) and they pulled goonish stuff on a team which doesn't know how to reciprocate. I wouldn't want them to, anyway.

The Preds need to crash and burn, and leave in a blaze of searing agony next round. Make it happen, 2nd round opponent. I will be rooting for you!!

I wore my favorite, beautiful, bright-red Red Wings t-shirt today, to run errands. A sales person in DSW came running over and hugged me, saying I had made her day! She was born and raised in Detroit, misses it terribly and was so thrilled to see me wearing my pride for the team, no matter what. She agreed they had a hard time heading into the playoffs, due to losing Pasha and Nick and all the others... and that history will not repeat next season. The Cup will be ours again.

Good for you...you did the same thing I've been doing. I will wear my Red and White no matter what. I'll be on vacation this summer (somewhere out west, I think), and the Wings will be part of my attire always.

I wear my Wings gear because that and Lions gear are just about all I own except for dressy dress and nasty workwear.

I've been sleeping in my Kronner jersey.
