I'm sure you can talk him around biggrin.gif There's something for everything at training camp! Surely he will understand.

Hello! Long time reader, first time poster on this thread. I was wondering if anybody has any Garrett Stafford pictures they'd be willing to share? Maybe from training camp or when he was up for those few games. Much appreciated!

Congrats to your man Loo! Dom played a helluva game! I can't believe this is the same man that was down with the flu! If he plays like this sick, good grief imagine how he's gonna be once he gets back to 100%!!!

Hey, Puckloo,

I've watched "Jumpin' Joe" skate, and he's fantastic! I saw him last year, I think, skating with his son at a skaters-kids themed show, and what a chip off the young block the boy was! It's always nice to hear that people you admire are as nice as you hope they are!

I'm happy for Katia and her family, but it's hard not to miss Sergei. What a talent he was, not to mention an adoring husband and father, from all I can see. I followed your link to Katia's Web site, and I thought it was very considerate of her to give directions to Sergei's grave, so his legions of fans could pay their respects if geographically possible.

Hey, everyone,

Thanks for all the great photos from practice. That darn Hank-- why couldn't those ants in his pants give it a rest so we could admire a photo?

And, just so you know, I declared a special holiday in my house today -- Swede Day. We had Swedish meatballs and ate in the living room so we could watch the Wings game. And, since Hank had an assist, I think we'll have Swede Day through the playoffs!

In case anyone's wondering -- I have looked at Lilja's butt. I know I'm not the only one!

aw, thanks, Kristi... he did good. Poor thing, he knew better than to appear even the least bit vulnerable today, so I am glad he managed to get the shut out. Can you imagine if he hadn't stopped that amazing breakaway by Suter in OT? Tar and feathers all around, if that went in. The shot was so fast, I didn't even see the puck -- but I am very glad Dom did.

Don't you love "fans" who say Dom got an "easy" shut-out, as if there is such a thing in the NHL? No game star, Ted Kulfan gave that to Ellis. No ticker-tape parade for the old guy. wink.gif

Why does anyone wonder that I think there is a media conspiracy against Hasek? **cough*tedkulfan*cough** All you have to do is pay attention, just a little, to know it's so. There is nothing wrong with Dom, but I have serious doubts about some other people.

No one here is Hot Wings land, needless to say. Loveya, ladies!!! happy.gif

I found this and thought it was sweet. It was on the preview page at NHL.com

My money on the board pledge:

$1 for each goal scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $5 for each hat trick scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $10 if any of the above goals is the GWG goal that gives us the series win.

An additional $50 if it is the GWG that wins us the Cup.

$5 for a SO by Jimmy.

Hamsters' names (current players in RED):  Henrik Pavel Tomas Nicklas Dominik

                                                                      Niklas Matthieu Daniel Robert

                                                                      Johan Andreas Valtteri Jonathan

                                                                      Andrew Patrick Ian Todd

And introducing:  Jordin Damien Gustav James

TOTAL SO FAR: $30

That little morsel goes into the Aaron Downey folder!

Loo, everyone with 2 eyes knows what kind of goalie Dom is. Unfortunately some with 2 eyes are missing 1 brain, so the images do not compute! biggrin.gif
Nashville plays a very "trappy" kind of game. Ellis has been good this season, and will probably continue to get better, but to give him kudos over Dom? BAD BAD FORM!!!!

Blast that darn Hasek. Blast him, I say! If he had scored a goal, we wouldn't have had to go into overtime and the Preds wouldn't have gotten that point. What do they call them goalies for if they don't score goals? PAH, I say, PAH! If our goalies don't start scoring at least 3 goals per game, we'll have no chance in the playoffs. We're doomed, I tell you, DOOMED!!! Oh, Gordie, why did you have to retire so young? Why? WHY? Stevie, they're only knees. Get them replaced and come back, I beg of you. Valterri, comb your hair and the puck will go in. We'll never make it past the first round.

Oh, well, at least Lilja has a cute butt, and Hank is mildly attractive. I mean, that's the only reason we're here, right? It's not like we even notice when they score touchdowns. We're girls.

Dom got no game star! ohmy.gif That's a scandal! mad.gif
He played terrific tonight. When I saw the breakaway I was a bit worried, but Dom came up with a great save. I'm really happy that he got the shotout. He really deserved it.
"Dominik wanted to give the team room to have money under the salary cap. Let's face it, he's a $5 million-a-year goalie. We all know that. But I managed to talk them down to $2 million. It was a unique negotiation." Ritch Winter (Dom's agent)

Actually, the one with the really nice butt is Zetterberg. Lilja and Kronwall's butts are kind of flat compared to Z.

I'll have to look for the picture of Zetterberg...I didn't take it but it was taken at the Wings softball game in...2006? Comerica Park

I was at the game today. I have pictures but still have to go through them so I'll probably put them up tomorrow.

Oh, do tell about Zata's softball performance, please! If there's anything sexier than hockey boys, it's hockey boys in baseball pants! My girls and I are into softball, big time, so we're definitely going to the charity game this year.

I know a lot of the Europeans aren't familiar with softball/baseball. Someone's got video of Lilja batting one-handed during last summer's charity game, so I'm extremely curious to hear how the Swedes, especially those I drool over (see Zetterberg, Hank and Kronwall, Nik), play the game.

Oh, and if anyone has a good photo of Z's butt-- because I'd like to get to the bottom of this "flat butt" epidemic among Swedish hockey players-- I'd like to start my research. wink.gif

There are some different rules. I know there is one about tagging the runner. Kronner didn't know about it, and can be seen arguing his case here. He lost.
