Thanks Michelle, I'm going to try to remember your name. :)

I wasn't sure about Howard as well when he started last season, but he earned my respect. The fact that he's so cute doesn't hurt  I think that Ozzie gets along with just about anyone and I love that he mentored Jimmy and wasn't angry about being pushed out as No. 1. But Oz has always been a humble guy, which is why I love him so much.

You should pick Helm, maybe he's still single and you have a chance with him?

Thanks Offsides

Michelle, that story of Pasha is something else to read. It shows what incredible heart and courage he has. I lost my parents as well, but I was a whole lot older than he was when I did. I cannot even begin to imagine what he must have felt losing his mom at such a young age. Being 16 with a normal life is tough enough, but to lose a parent at that age, it just boggles the mind. He has such incredible courage. It's one of the reasons I love him.

Howard took a while to grow on me too. He certainly has, though. He seems so sweet and shy. Ozzie is sweet and shy and brash at the same time, which sounds like a contradiction, yet he does it.

Helm=yummy. He should be referred to as Helmmmmmmmmmm.

Money on the board:  Current total: $6

Howie's got a sassy streak, which I just love. Don't mess with him, he won't get mad - he'll get even!! And he has a great laugh. Very contagious.

I miss them all. :(

Pat, I just can't imagine who that one is?!? ;)

Just saw this video of Howard on Facebook, literally laughed out loud!! I think he's talking to us when he says, "This one's for the ladies..." :blushing: http://video.redwing...id=-6&id=116157

There were also some pictures of Lids and Cheli with Kid Rock on the Detroit Red Wings Facebook site, but I think I saw Kristi commenting on the photos, and I can't figure out how to post them on here like she does, so we will have to wait until she uploads them for us. The men look good!!

Your Friend,
:newbie:
Ozzie, what do you think the key to this whole playoffs and winning the Stanley Cup was? (asks Darren McCarty, interviewing Ozzie after beating Penguins in 2008 to win the Cup) "Just that we made every last minute a kerfuffule. That would be it, I mean, we never could just put an empty-netter in there to make it easy. We had to... really, you know what we did it for? So the fans could watch right to the end."

Thanks, Oz. So nice of you to always be thinking of the fans!!!!

That video was great! And to think I wasn't too sure about Howard when he first came up from the AHL. The guy's a Red Wing through and through.

So... how about some blasts from the not-so-distant past? Let's show some love for the NHL's new director of discipline!

Shanny withdrawal symptoms come rushing back. Oh, dear... I miss him.

I am waiting for some of the young ones to grow personalities, besides being good at hockey. Waiting....

Damn!!! They couldn't have waited a couple weeks from now to do that, when Terry and I will have our boat docked at the marina down the Riverwalk from the Joe. Bad timing, boys...I would have loved to see you doing that when we were cruising up the River on Sunday the 19th.

Nick needs cooler friends. Cheli's great, but I don't get the Kid Rock thing, for either of my Wings. He must be incredibly charming or something else I am missing.

Pat, thank you for the DVD of the game I asked for. One of the guys wants a copy so I will make him one (HankthaTank, nice dude!)

Love you all, have a great weekend!! (((hugs))) ™

I don't understand the Kid Rock thing myself. I know he and Cheli are good friends, though, so there must be something to him. I guess.

Maybe Kid Rock is a cool person even though I'm not fond of most of his music. I do like that picture song, though.

Great. Now I have that wanna be a cowboy baby song in my head. Make it stop.

Mr. Bob shows up in my town on occasion. He and Hank Williams Jr. are big buddies, and Hank lives here in Paris. Hank is a raging *******, but everyone who sees Bob out and about always talks about how nice he is. The only time he ever got ugly was one night down at a little bar close to the lake. He got on stage to karaoke, and some girl kept bugging him to sing Picture. He politely refused, but the drunker she got, the more she whined and begged. It got so bad that she was escorted out. He had already told the folks he would sing anything but that song. Some people just can't take No for an answer. Especially drunk rednecks in Tennessee. LOL!!!

You talking about these pics???
Why yes, those would be the ones :D LOL!!

I saw Kid Rock in person about 10 years ago when I worked at Bass Pro Shops at Great Lakes Crossing Mall, he was using the shooting range. He just walked past me, nothing like I really officially met him or anything. About shut the place down so many people wanted to get a peek! I think he needs a shave and haircut, personally, but I do love that he loves the city of Detroit and Michigan. I think it's really cool that he has songs about "Up North" and that he always makes sure everyone knows where he's from. He could have just as easily moved somewhere south where it makes more sense with his style of music, but he just keeps living in right there in Clarkston, hanging out at BullFrog's a couple times a year. He's cool, but doesn't qualify as an honorary Hot Wing in my book!!

Re: Jimmy, I gotta say, he won me over pretty fast. Didn't hurt that I got to meet him last year (probably said this a million times, but what can I say - it was a highlight, for sure!), and he was super nice...just exactly the kind of guy you want to represent the Wings. Love his feisty-ness on the ice, as well as his sense of humor, too. Puckloo - he DOES have a great laugh, doesn't he? Yeah, I think I just might have a teeny weeny crush on him. ;)

SHANNY!!! Man, that was just what the doctor ordered! Especially that last one, hehe. I'd seen it before, but it wasn't as good quality - thanks!

Love Cheli and Nick out there...work those arm muscles, lol! It's nice to see the two of them together again. Kid Rock...whatever. Can't concentrate on him when the other two are there, hehe.

Hey, does anybody have a bigger version of this one, by any chance?

Hello, kids, I'm back after a couple days on Mackinac Island - sunburned a wee bit, but fine otherwise. Bicycling eight miles around the island, walking, a few pictures, and a couple nights sleeping on the boat, and I'm not the worse for wear. But I look red as a lobster in the face!

So I see that Boston got majorly pissed the other night and beat Vancouver bad (when they get ticked, they really get ticked, don't they?), and that Bert is slowly working out to get back - hey Bert, go bike Mackinac Island and then tell me how you feel!

I missed y'all.

Welcome back, Pat! We missed you, too!!

I am glad you had fun, and I bet Bert would love to meet you in Mackinac and go bike riding with you. How fun would that be???

Boston is looking good, tell Ellen I am rooting for her boyz...
