That's even better. If you weren't married I'd encourage you more but I'll stop here.I could NEVER give him a key to my house!
My hotel room, maybe.
(Not really. Probably.)

Money on the board: $40
Thanks for a great season, guys. You exceeded expectations and have given us something to look forward to as the long summer approaches.
And next year we get to start in October, like hockey is SUPPOSED to.

Ideally, this is close to what I'd like to do.Get him a card and tell him how much you've enjoyed his play over the years and thank him for bringing happiness to your life. Wish him the best for his life. Be sincere and he'll appreciate it.
Realistically, this is what I'm more likely to wind up doing. Babbling may also be involved.or, you could do what I did the last time I saw Dom and just stand there, smiling at him. He seemed to like that.
I may look into this.A red carnation...it is a way of saying, "I will remember you." Believe it or not, it works.

Yay!!!
You'll have a great time and we'll start now praying for good travel weather.
Yikes. I can just picture getting snowed in at the airport! (Because I'm not lucky enough to be snowed in while I'm still at the hotel, if there happens to be a blizzard!)
We will all pray to the sacred hockey fishes... holy carps.

So I went looking for news on Joey MacDonald and how he's doing with recovering from his concussion and discovered that (a) he's recovering nicely and could be back in the Griffins' lineup by Friday, (b) he has a new helmet with a cool picture of the Mackinac Bridge, and ( c) MLive has a picture of him in his new helmet doing that amazing intense goalie focus stare thing.

The actual article is here if anyone would like to read it.

Pat, you're a doll to think of me, thanks!! Whatever it is, you're a brave woman going to the Post Office this time of year.

Wonder what is he thinking? We will never know...

This is the look Dom used to direct toward team mates who played the way the Wings did last night. "Don't make me come over there...."

Ok, for fun... 15-year old baby Dom, already a Crosby-level wunderkind:

I'd never seen that first pic of him! LOVE that goalie glare!
Me, too. I know a lot of people here don't like Dom, which makes me kinda sad, but I find him endlessly fascinating, then and now.

Thinking about it, goalie glare has got to be a huge part of the reason I'm more likely to crush on a goalie than on any skater. You have this guy that looks perfectly sweet, but he can flip an intensity switch in his head and suddenly be giving a look like the ones we're seeing from Joey and Dom. And then I get all weak in the knees.
Anyway, I had never seen Dom's goalie glare picture, either! Thank you for posting it.
