My money on the board pledge:
$1 for each goal scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.
An additional $5 for each hat trick scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.
An additional $10 if any of the above goals is the GWG goal that gives us the series win.
An additional $50 if it is the GWG that wins us the Cup.
$5 for a SO by Jimmy.

Okay, Pat, did you plan this ahead of time? Did you pay off some nurse to put you in the room next to Pavel after his surgery? You know he would probably crutch or wheel himself over to your room to give you another hug! Get well soon!

Misery loves company???
The surgery went well. I'm at home with my hand wrapped up. It will stay this way for 48 hours, and then I can unwrap it and carefully clean the incision. I go back in two weeks for follow-up. They put the block in for my arm, and it was like a cement block. I didn't feel a thing - I slept through most of it. Meantime, lovely little antibiotics and Vicodin for pain.
Then I get out and hear about my dear Pasha. Not what I wanted to hear. But we'll commiserate together. Rather it be done now than during or just before the playoffs. I'll be thinking of you, my dearest.
Thanks for all your kind words and thoughts. Send them Pasha's way, please. He needs them too!

Glad to hear it all went well, Pat, and that you got a nap in, besides. 
Too bad you couldn't schedule with Pasha's surgeon, so you could have bribed a nurse to put him in with you in recovery. LOL~
I would love to hear Pasha try to say "arthroscopic".

Actually, he was there with me - he just didn't know it...I have a thing for needles - hate them. So when they came in to put in the IV and/or the local on my arm, I kept thinking about Pasha, and whispering his name..."You are here with me, and we will get through this together, you and I." It worked - the pain was there, but thinking of him helped deal with it. He was my last thought before I drifted off to sleep.

I unwrapped the mummy this morning to have a look at it (and also to grab a shower). A couple of cuts, a few stitches. I do have some range of motion back in the thumb, so all is well. So the mummy is wrapped again until tomorrow.
