Terrell Owens suspended indefinitely

Anybody who complains they didn't get fireworks for a personal milestone deserves to be fired. The Lions should keep Mooch as coach if only to guarantee they never have to put up with this a**hole. Although I understand he can't play home games in domed stadiums.....his ego doesn't fit.

I'm one of the few that think he is still worth the trouble.

He's still putting up huge numbers...

He can say what he wants, to a certain degree, his teammates are big boys and should be able to know that his words don't mean s**t.

But that's exactly his problem. According to the boys on Sunday NFL Countdown, one of the biggest things that got TO pissed off was McNabb saying before the Super Bowl, "We're preparing like he's not going to be out there and if he is, that's a bonus." And TO was insulted by that! What's McNabb supposed to say?

Terrell Owens destroys teams, plain and simple. His production on the field isn't worth it. He destroyed the promising-looking 49ers, tore them apart. He'll do the same to the Eagles if they let him play again....and if he hasn't already.

So, do you believe that team chemistry does nothing?

Just heard on CBS that TO is PLAYING tonight

Nov 6 Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports Philadelphia Eagles WR Terrell Owens threw five or six punches at former defensive end and team ambassador Hugh Douglas during an altercation this week. One of the punches was described as a shot that would have done major damage if it had landed. The team has not made a decision on when Owens will return from his suspension, but several Eagles players said they find it hard to believe he will ever re-join the team.

I doubt he'll ever play there again.

Again, they are big boys.

Maybe you guys and NFL players can't just write things off like I can. I can give a f*ck less of what someone says about me. As long as he produces on the field who gives a flying f about what he says OFF the field.

ONE person should not mess up the chemistry of a 54 man roster. If the other 53 players want to sit and cry and moan about what he is saying they shouldn't be in pads. They should be knitting a sweater...

Eagles have announced now that Owens is deactivated for the season....much like the Keyshawn situation in Tampa a couple years ago, only earlier. I hope Owens catches on with the Bears, Vikings, or Packers so he can leave that team and organization in shambles too.

Good for the Eagles.

And I'll be the first to admit, Owens can play, anybody who thinks otherwise is nuts I think. And I'm not denying that he made sacrafices to try to win it all, playing hurt to try to win the Super Bowl. I find that pretty admirable.

However, that doesn't discount the actions that recently happened and him being a jackass and controversial more often than not. He's made sacrafices, but he's also been a selfish idiot at the same time trying to get more money when he's already rich off his ass and already under a pretty legit contract, and while he was a whiney brat thinking he was all alone in celebrating his 100th career TD. Boo-fricken-hoo. I'm sure we could all gather up other things as well.

I'm all for having entertaining athletes, but not ones that just want to stir up controversy for the hell of it and get themselves in trouble and hurt their teammates and organization. However, I'm more of a "just go about your business" kind of person.

That's why I have so much respect for past/present athletes like Yzerman or John Stockton. Remember Stockon? There aren't many like him anymore unfortunately. Both are definitely considered to be superstars, they produced/are producing for their respective teams, and they just work, go home, go back to work, and produce. Just consistently in a routine without any outside distractions. They get their job done.

I can't stand primadonna idiots.

I agree SWF. Terrell Owens is a waste of great talent. No team would want to make a LONG TERM committment on him because if his horrible past.

Kinda sad when you consider the football game right now, which features Tom Brady. Brady is a player that easily could be paid money like Peyton Manning, or McNabb,....instead, he would rather have part of that money put back into the team.

The sports needs a lot more Tom Bradys and less Terrell Owens.

I just think it's funny that he accuses the Eagles organization of having a "lack of class". Good lord dude, did you ever watch yourself score a touchdown?

I still think one of the best things ever to happen in his career (and it pains me to say this cause I hate the Cowboys) was one of the Cowboys being insulted at Owens second trip to the star to bask in his own glory, and belting him as hard as possible.

The Redskins and their fans, including myself, would like to thank TO for not being at the game last night. We needed a win and you helped facilitate it in your own special way TO. laugh.gif

Seriously, it's nice to see the Eagles suspending him rather than trading him. I hate it when players just start to piss and moan everytime they get unhappy until they're traded. It's like giving your kid a toy or something everytime he cries, he'll never learn otherwise.

Millen will-

Cut Rogers

Bring in TO for a one year deal...then...Mooch...Garcia...and TO...are gonna take the Lions to the Super Bowl....

Put down the crack pipe.

No s**t Sherlock. Amazing how people always think whatever you say is all seriousness. As if the...didn't...help...at...all...

I don't see Vick and TO getting along, especially since we know Vick is a decent qb. If he's gonng ***** about McNabb he sure as hell is gonna tear Vick a new one.

I figured everyone around here would take that as a joke, as it would never happen.

And by all means all you need is a wink.gif after I know you're slow. Wayne State fukkin' blows.
