Sac. Kings scoreboard

I KNOW this isnt a direct wings topic but.....

I recently read what the sacramento kings did to the city of detroit on their scoreboard as they were about to take on the pistons but i mean Detroit already has a bad image, and everyone keeps hashing on the bad stuff that happens and not the good. No one gives credit to detroit that they hosted an awesome mlb all star game, or how they are trying to turn around the city. I mean im not even from detroit, but i love the wings, and i like to see the pistons, lions, and tigers do well also, as well as the city of detroit. As far as the scoreboard goes, every city in the US has abandoned buildings and burned out cars.....I would like to think that Detroit is an up and coming city........what about you guys?

PS: LETS GO RED WINGS thumbup.gif

I personally don't see what the big deal about this is. A few pictures up on the score board, oh well move on. People are so damn sensitive these days about the most odd things. Does every inner city have these same things wrong with them... You bet, does detroit really look that bad?... In places, YOU BET.

Frankly most residents for the Detroit don't care about their city anyways, how could you even justify them thinking about Detroit in a postive light after they re-elected good ol' Kwamee? That dude has so many scandals surrounding him it makes Nixon and Clinton look like saints.

The Movie 8-mile shows Detroit in just as bad of a light... No one really had a problem about that movie.

Detroit as far as an up and coming city... Sure, I'll beleive it when I see it. They are trying to clean up the city around Ford Field for the Superbowl, but just around Ford Field so the cameras will capture the "best" of Detroit. But the truth is City officials are doing nothing to help renovate a few block down from Ford Field inany direction.

I don't know, I take it as it is... Will Detroit ever be the Vacation Mecca of the country? Hell no. Weather and the out of the way location make it impossible. Detroit is just not a place you happen to drive through. You actually need to have a trip planed to go there. I mean driving down to disney world you happen to go through many large citys (atlanta for one) Where would you possibly be going to run through detroit? its out of the way of everything.

God I hope he's not the second coming of Coleman Young... dry.gif

I'm afraid he'll be just that.

Back on the topic of the scoreboard....today I got an email back from the Kings spokeslady in response to the complaint I sent last week....a pretty standard form-letter kind of thing, and quite a bit later than I might have expected (do they have people whose only job the past week has been to answer all the angry Pistons fans' emails?) but frankly I'm surprised and pleased to get anything back at all. Gotta hand it to the Sacramento Kings...they have gone all-out and I certainly think that says something good about their organization.
