I wont see Debbie (the one giving me problems) until next monday (which is good last night my eyes (both) were twitching because I was so mad) so I wrote a note telling her what days I want off and that I will still work two if I can have 2 off which I dont think is unreasonable! I started out asking for thurs and friday. and she was like no thursday maybe friday. then asked if I wanted to work wed instead of thursday. so now I am asking for friday and monday, and switch thursday to wed. its my fricking VACATION. not workation. I dont think two days is too much to ask. I will still be there tuesday during the day, and then wed night. but I bet I wont get monday night off. or maybe not friday either. If you are asking for the long weekend in July which is 4th of July weekend and you work retail or the food industry I can see why not.... Full time usually get 1st dibs on days off and then it goes for part timers (1st to the ones who have been there longer, i.e. seniority).... I just seen your posts above that you are working for family so to speak... All families are going to give 1st options to their own kids... Seriously do not quit your job because you can not get a few days off, it is only a camping trip.... If it was your wedding that is one thing and if it was a funeral state law I believe mandates you get a few days to grieve... Job market is tough right now, never quit a job until you have another one lined up (and filled out the W-2 Forms)... I'm from Chicago, I need to be in a big city. Alpharetta (where we just moved from) was nice and pretty big, but still had a city feel to it. I got used to living there. This is going to take some time. I know Greensboro. It's better than Goldsboro. I stayed in Goldsboro for six weeks. It sucked. But North Carolina is pretty. The drive up here was very nice, I agree. Beautiful country up this way. However, where we're living is a little more open than I like, and once our first real severe weather comes through, I'm going to get worried. The Hurricanes USED to play in Greensboro, so you coulda atleast had your hockey fix, but now they play in Raleigh. I like the weather in NC, I would just like to see it snow more. Where we are, we get a decent amount of snow (for the South) in the winter. More than we got in North Georgia, where I just moved from. I watched the video thing and it said it has like 4 different games or something? I would download it, but my computer is currently MIA, so I am using my parents.
