dreadthered 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 So I just found out that Marty Turco signed a 4 year contract extension with the stars. So this means no Marty in MoTown.

theman19 47 Report post Posted January 6, 2006 man,...that's pricey. He's having a great year but that's a bit high for my blood.
fatcat6 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2006 Not a huge surprise. Turco is very popular in Dallas, and he's a good part of their team. He's good too, and I'm not surprised that he was re-signed. The Wings will now really just have to wait till the free agency period during the off-season.

He's not having a great year...his stats are mediocre at best considering how well Dallas has played and how good he's supposed to be.
fatcat6 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2006 No, this year isn't great for him, but next year may be, because he's a good goaltender. I really do thing that a lot of the really good goalies arn't doing as well this year either is because I don't think that they've really still gotten used to the smaller pads. Call me stupid on that, but I do kinda believe that. But we really can't rip on all of the goalies in the league till we see what happens next year and the playoffs this year. Not saying he won't rebound. Just a little baffled when people keep saying he's having a great year.
fatcat6 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2006 Turco has been said to be a big part of their future for the past couple of years as well, so him signing that contract extension is really no surprise to me.
