Hudler had a strong 3rd period on the PP with 2 goals and 2 assists.
Filppula with 1 and 1 scoring the go ahead game winner with under 3 minutes to go.
Bootland also was 1 and 1, Kopecky scored a goal, and Howard held on after a shaky start giving up 3 goals being peppered by 20 shots in the 1st with the Griffs taking 5 penalties that period.
This game also vaulted Hudler back up into a tie for the AHL scoring lead. 20 goals 30 assists in 35 games. Filppula is 12th, 15 goals 22 assists.

Oh, and Bootland is apparently the new Captain? Was there fallout with Ellis somehow? Nevermind it was a boxscore mistake. Ellis is still captain, which would explain a total lack of acknowledgement on the Griffins' website.

We are currently working on the name change but can't decide on Bootlanov or Bootlandstrom... Maybe Bootula...

This is amazing, I mean how Griffins have scored in the 3rd period this season. I don't know the exact number, but my guess is way above 50% of goals in the 3rd 05/06. Does anyone know where to find stats like this??
Once again they were trailing 3-0 and then suddenly 5 3rd period goals and boom! Another win. Not bad at all and Hudler got 2+2 in the third. Ain't that a way to capture AHL top scorer place again. Go Hud. Go Griffs.

I listened to the first period on the way to a game of my own and Houston was dominating this one. I thought it was all over. Nice comeback guys...
