CupCrazy22 6 Report post Posted January 12, 2006 Well, we really don't need Numminen as he is getting older and not as good as he once was. Maybe swap McKee for Numminen.

hckypete96 3 Report post Posted January 12, 2006 They don't need a goalie back yes they do, miller is young and osgood will serve as a cheap mentor to him.
Heaton 1 Report post Posted January 12, 2006 yes they do, miller is young and osgood will serve as a cheap mentor to him. No they don't, they have Noronen as backup. If they wanted a Veteren goalie to serve as a mentor they'd keep Biron.

Biron isn't any better than Osgood. We have zero need for Numminen. That 2nd and Hudler are far more valuable than the return from Buffalo. peace

If you're going to trade Hudler, you can do better than that

BeeRYCE 2 Report post Posted January 12, 2006 The only trade I'd do with Buffalo is a fair trade involving Maxim Afinogenov, or Ales Kotalik. One of them would be a good solution for our lack of depth on right wing.

One of them would be a good solution for our lack of depth on right wing. I am so with you on that one BeeRYCE. I have said for a long time it'd be great to get Afinogenov for a number or reasons. He's fast. He plays RW. He and Datsyuk have great chemistry. He speaks Russian. This would really make Datsyuk more comfortable I think. As for Kotalik, that wouldn't be bad either. He is young and has put up nice stats thus far. 17 goals and 13 assists. Plays RW too.
EstonianWingsFan#1 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2006 Buffalo won tonight, Biron made 39 saves, 1 goal against. I'd like that trade, just that I would like to give Hudler full time chance first, not some 5 min per game to see what he can do in NHL.
BeeRYCE 2 Report post Posted January 13, 2006 Whoa whoa.. One game shouldn't inspire any trade like this.

fatcat6 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2006 I'm kinda not sure if I would want to give up Hudler, but I can see why you named him. And a second round pick seems a tiny bit high. If we could get Biron for Osgood, good deal. But I'm not to sure about Numminen. He's way to old for me to want him to be a Wing now. For the most part, good idea.
