you've got the best sig, please. Too many people on here watching the lame american version of The Office to get it.

| I used to like Heaton's "We need to CHECK, CHECK, CHECK" avatar, but he took it down. I actually think mine's pretty snazy. :::::::::EDIT::::::::: Grammar |
I put it back up for you.

I'm probably about to be ridiculed, but I still have no idea where that avatar comes from.

Conceptually it's a brilliant show, but the subtle differences in cultures and then how the characters are formed wouldn't adapt very well here. Some would get it, but it most of the great subtle gags/jokes would likely fly well over everyone's head.
I think the Carrell version is good. I can't compare it to the original Office, but it stacks up well to other American shows.
peace

That makes sense. It`s like the british novel "Fever Pitch" by Nick Hornby which was a tremendous success in Europe. When they turned it into a Hollywood film (with Drew Barrymore) they changed the sport from football (soccer) to baseball so that more Americans could relate to it.

i have no idea. it would be like making an american version of blackadder, no point. i'm tired of shows having to be changed or dumbed down for the amercian masses. If most of the people can't get it, then don't try. It's just like Harry Potter, in every country it's "philosopher's stone" except here, it's "sorcer's stone" cus the publishers felt american kids wouldnt' read something called "philosopher's stone." Funny how all the Canadian kids still read it tho.
