I'm not reading into it, and I could really care less what the other teams do with their players.

I was just saying that his statement was being talking about in General Discussion.

I watched the game last night per Anahiem's broadcast. Ken Holland was there (he doesn't generally travel with the team) and I truly believe he was there to talk trade for Penner/Salei/Giggy. I am not saying all three, however he discussed bolstering a depth forward and defense. He didn't mention a goalie, but the announcers for the game mentioned Detroit may seek a goalie. I think the long term would say that Penner will be better than Hudler, although pure talent says the otherwise. I could see the following:

Hudler-Lebda-Kopecky-2nd rounder- to Anehiem for Salei/Penner/Giggy

Lang will be involved in any deal in which Detroit obtains a highly-paid player. He's the only one that makes enough money and isn't a critical part of the team.

Lang, Osgood, and a pick for Salei and Giguere

hahahahahahaha....oh man my head hurts. Please

Penner - LW

Shane O'Brien - D

Salei - D

for

Kopocky - RW/C

Williams - C

Giguere is not coming here. His contract is wayyyy to big and he is no upgrade over Legace. Have you looked at Legace stats for this year? Why on earth would Holland dump Manny's season and go for Iggy?

I'm not saying it should happen, but there are reports that Lang is available (TSN today) and there have been numerous reports since before this season that Detroit wants to upgrade their goaltending.

The Ducks believe in Byzgalow, or whatever the hell his name is. LOL

They just trade for Jani Hurme to be the backup. They have no use or need or want for Osgood.

Giguere is STILL not an upgrade over what the Wings already have. I have no clue why people keep bringing his name up. Other than a hot 2 month run in the 03 playoffs, he hasnt been anything spectacular.

So...no to another lame Lang proposal.

Because Giguere knows what it takes to make it far. Manny doesnt.

Really? So, since he has had one good playoff run, he is immediately an upgrade over Legace?

Giggy's career has been average all in all. He isnt an upgrade.

Legace has outplayed him in EACH of the last 2 seasons. Giggy had 1 terrific cup run in an otherwise average NHL career. Like I said, I dont know why everyone has such a hard on for him.
