Leafs just signed prospect Robbie Earl after he won the Frozen Four with Wisconsin. He'll just joined the Marlies for the playoffs.

With the Leafs out, J.S. Aubin, Ben Ondrus & Ian White will be heading down from the Leafs to join the Marlies, as well.

Oh may.. tomorrow Griffins will be play first game vs Marlies. I'm very nervous but I think that we win this game. Griffins have very good squad - Howard, Helmer, Wilson, Donny, Kopey... Booter. But Toronto in this season beat three times Griffins in regulation time on six meetings - all wins in the Ricoh. They scored more goals [22] than Griffins [15]. Griffins as well as Toronto wins three games, but once in the overtime. The series between Grand Rapids and Toronto looks to be very excited and fierce.

What a game! Triple overtime thriller... but the most important thing is that the Griffins has won 6:5! Donny scored two goals, Val has goal and an assist, Kopey has two asists. Howard was solid in the goal and he stopped 42 on 47 shots. His vis a vis Aubin was incredible, but he pass one goal more than Jimmy and he lost the game :)

Tonight game No. 2 and I hope they win this game too :boxing:

"Greg Ireland was hunched over his computer inside the visiting coach's office at Ricoh Coliseum, breaking down 60 minutes of playoff hockey play by play."

Ireland want to play the same hockey tonight as Griffs as played yesterday. Toronto played more physically than Grand Rapids, but we played very combined in offense and they didn't know to do with our attacks. We played very well in penalty killing - Marlies scored only one goal in 5-on-3. Howard made 35 saves and he was the best player on the ice.

Go Griffs Go!

Sory for my english ;)

Oh yeah... Griffins will play in North Division final vs Maniotba or Syracuse. The heroes of the game six are Matty Ellis [two goals, GWG in second overtime] and Drew MacIntyre [he plays second straight game and won both, in game six he stopped 41/42 shots and stopped John Pohl on a penalty shot with 11:04 left in the third period].

Go Griffins Go - for Calder Cup!

Good for the Griffins. They've played well all year, but it's a shame for the Marlies. Most of Toronto was strongly behind them with the Leafs out of the playoffs. The Marlies were getting a decent amount of advertising in the area, if not coverage, but that's because of the NHL playoffs.

Good series Marlies, and especially #79, John Mitchell!
