MacK_Attack 108 Report post Posted July 7, 2006 Peca in negotiations with Leafs The Maple Leafs are in serious negotiations with free agent Mike Peca to become the team's number two centre. According to the Toronto Star, Peca is willing to take a pay cut on his $4 million salary in order to move his family to where they will be happiest. The Leafs are getting close to the maximum salary cap, so if they sign Peca, it would make it difficult to sign Eric Lindros and/or take on the $2.25 million salary of Gary Roberts http://www2.sportsnet.ca/blogs/hockey_hear...ions_with_leaf/ "It'd be a dream come true," Peca said. "At the same time, I realize the importance of putting on that jersey and the privilege of it.IIt would be a case where you'd pinch yourself."
