I was just wondering if anyone here on the forums plays the MMORPG "World Of Warcraft?" Reason being...is that if you do, then you should look me up on the "Stormreaver" server (player name is "Zunder"), cause the Guild that I started is called "Heroes Of Hockeytown"

Pretty cool. Here is our website http://hoh.eardown.com

Don't mean to spam the board with this...just looking for some Red Wings fans!

Never played oblivion but I imagine its not the same game but in the same realm of games. The closest thing World of Warcraft (wow) is like that I can think of is EverQuest, but wow is 10 times better. There is also FF11 online that is similar to wow but still isn't half as good.

The expansion to wow comes out some time in fall I've heard as late as Nov 28th. As scottdware said its a MMORPG. If your into those type of games your for sure to love this game. If ya ever buy it and need someone to teach ya the ropes let me know I can help ya out.

Just check out worldofwarcraft.com to learn more its just unbelieable and I'm HOOKED sad.gif
Oh your question about whether ppl play this game, yeah, from what I've heard it has the largest market share for online gaming over 6 million player is a figure I've read. So yeah its HUGE.

I gave this game over 100 days worth of playing time.
Its great until you hit sixty, then there's nothing left to do except mindless raiding.

I can see how raiding can get boring to some but I don't think its that bad. I mean there's a sense of accomplishment when you have 40 ppl all going towards the same goal and accomplish some of the feats in the game. If you play the game and revolve it around getting armor yeah its gunna suck cuz its gunna take you forever to get your armor sets, but there's more to the game than just getting items.

In the expansion you can go above 60.

I tried WOW when it was in beta, and it just didn't do anything for me. Oblivion rules though, even if it is offline.

In the expansion you can go above 60.

Ten levels, which will be achieved and followed up by mindless raiding.
Good luck getting to seventy without an endgame guild.

where would you get the idea that you would even need a guild to reach 70? First of all Blizzard changed the expansion for the more casual player. The raiding for lvl 70 only requires 25 ppl. Reaching 70 won't even require a guild just as its not for getting to 60.

We don't do any raids yet, as we are fairly new. We plan on doing some raiding once more people are up to 60...but we aren't rushing it or anything.

ahh yeah it will take a while to move up I joined a fairly large guild and missed out on AQ 20 and ZG, but its definatly a long progression from that to MC and then definatly from MC to BWL. Luckly though when the expansion comes out it will make it easier for your guild (a smaller one) to advance to some of the end game content if you choose to go that path. Maybe I'll make an alt and look ya up some time on your realm... What kind of class do ya need for your guild?

FireCaptain - "THIS ISN'T DATELINE, BUT WE'RE HERE TO STOP A PREDATOR."
Du, du, du, du, du, du, du, du, du, du, du, du,
When I see you Red Wings,
I go out of my head,
I just can't get enough,
I just can't get enough,
All the things you do to me and all the things you said,
I just can't get enough.
I just can't get enough
We slip and slide and we fall in love and I just can't seem to get enough of...
Du, du, du, du, du, du, du, du, du, du, du, du

I heard that Blizzard is also dropping the 40-man requirement on raids down to like 24 or something. To make raiding some of the higher end stuff easier for smaller guilds.

We will take any class - but we are really in need of Priests.

Not to be mean...but that's not the fault of the game or people who play it.

BUMP!

Blizzard just announced the new expansion, Wrath of the Lich King.

Level cap will be raised to 80, unlockable 'hero' level class Death Knight, and new profession 'inscription.' Also available is character appearance changes AFTER creation. More here.
