Colorado defenseman Karlis Scratch-an-itch will play his 486th consecutive game tonight, against the Florida Panthers, tying Tim Horton's record for consecutive games by a defenseman. Assuming nothing goes awry for him tonight, he'll break the record Thursday against Atlanta.

Here's hoping he A. doesn't get to 1000 games and/or B. starts taking some time off.

Nick currently holds the record for highest percentage of his team's games played of all players with over 1000 career games.

Has Nick ever been injured? I mean, been out of the lineup because of an injury? I know Scotty took him out from lineup just for some rest when the standings seed was secure and that's why he doesn't have any consecutive games records.

His missed-games percentage is almost identical to Murphy's--1.73%--the summer before his final seaosn--Murphy only missed 27 games before his final season, where he was often a healthy scratch.

Think the record of 960+ games by Doug Jarvis will ever be broken? I think NOT. Still pretty impressive by Skrastins though.

Probably better than the dirty rainwater they sell at Tim's....

WHAT!

I don't know where I'd be without Tim Horton's. Large regular coffee with a sesame seed bagel with garlic and herb cream cheese... MAN.

Has Nick´s only injuries been at the 94-95 lockout season (2 games) and 96-97 season (3 games) ? I think all the other missing 12 games have been just resting.

Lidström has played 1152 games about 1169 available and 174 playoff games about 174 available. This is just crazy, he's more worth than his current salary has ever been.
