Yesterday the Preds flipped Vasicek for Belanger and today they dealt Belanger for Vishnevski. Their defense is pretty stacked now.

Link.
In a 2005 study published by the journal Nature, researchers at Durham University in England concluded that, across a range of sports, we found that wearing red is consistently associated with a higher probability of winning. The researchers also suggested that red's effect may subconsciously intimidate opponents in athletic contests, especially when the athletes are equal in skill and strength.

That's cheap for a big, physical defenseman like Vishnevski. Not an all star, but definitely preferable to Lilja.

They're ready for the playoffs, now. But without Vasicek... ok, how did they pull off this trade?!

They pulled it off because Don Waddell is a freaking tool.

Vishnevsky is light years ahead of Lillypads.

Yeah I was just thinking they're really gunning for it this year eh? I guess it's good for hockey...just not good for me. Boo Nashville.

Damn, Visknevski is solid, too.

Why would Atlanta go for this? They're going to the playoffs this year...

dam, I've always like Visnevski since he came into the league. Why couldn't we get something like this done? He's exactly what we need on the blue line.

They have a surplus of D-men and I guess they figured Vishnevski was the best offer since he wasn't always in the lineup. We'll see if that was a bad move come playoff time.
