That is such a sketchy trade, what is Boston doing. Ference is good yeah, but damn it dude get some prospects.

Not a bad deal for Calgary. maybe the cup will come back to Canada this year.

Good deal for Calgary. Stuart at the top of his game is very good offensively, and Premieau is an ok player. Boston at least gets Ference, who is a pretty solid defenseman, but Kobasew? They could have gone after some young prospects like Eric Nystrom rather than Kobasew.

Are Stuart and Primeau going to be in uniform today at the Joe?

at least it makes more sense than the thornton trade.

What is Boston thinking? They finally rebuild and then lose their three best players (Thornton, Raycroft, and Samsonov), and now instead of trying to rebuild or trade for talent, they trade away a draft pick and on top of that get the worse end of the trade. I understand stuart and primeau are ufas, but it would make more sense to trade for picks or prospects. I dont get it.

Apparently, this deal gets even better for the Flames. If they are unable to sign Stuart to a deal, Boston will surrender its 2008 1st round draft pick to Calgary.

Did Chiarelli go to the Mike Keenan school of trading in the offseason or something? Isn't the whole point of dumping players to pick up draft picks?
