Bannedforlife 403 Report post Posted February 22, 2007 I keep hearing that there are going to be a ton of really great UFA's available July 1st. Does anyone know who exactly will be UFA and likely to not resign with their current team? I've been hearing about this since last summer and no one has ever really thrown any names out. TheLegend19 1 Report post Posted February 22, 2007 On SportsCenter last night they did a few minute segment on the Red Wings play of late, and they discussed Z and how read how he is. Then, they talked some about Ovechkins struggles and Melrose said "Washington needs a guy to compliment Ovechkin. Datsyuk is a free agent after this season. I would not be suprised to see him end up in Washington"

If he puts up a couple points in the playoffs, that would help his chances even more.

I'd say they should start between the pipes, if there going on some sort of spending spree. BTW, Melrose is a tool.
