edicius 3,269 Report post Posted February 25, 2007 (edited) Veteran defenseman Fredrik Olausson, who won a Stanley Cup ring with the Detroit Red Wings in 2001, will retire from hockey because of illness. Way to go, ESPN. Edited February 25, 2007 by edicius
Lou_Siffer 1 Report post Posted February 25, 2007 Great--you've just shown another negative side of yourself. What? I posted before reading the article and assumed since it was an espn link, that he was retiring from the NHL (hence the suprised reaction).

Wtf, he still plays? Yeah, good one--way to care. Edited February 25, 2007 by Crymson

SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted February 25, 2007 I'm out to get him because of some earlier comments. Why? It's not really worth the time/effort. Get better Olassoun and get back to being healthy!

Flip-check 6 Report post Posted February 25, 2007 Why? It's not really worth the time/effort. Yeah, but he likes to police the forums. Whatever floats your boat, I guess. It's a waste of time to me, too. I've got other things that I'd rather spend it on.
puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted February 25, 2007 I am sorry Freddie is sick and pray he is able to recover, soon. Good luck, Freddie, you left me with great memories of 2002 Cup and season.

Grind Line 33 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2007 That's very concerning news to hear. I hope he gets his transplant soon. The waiting list can be so long and you don't last long without a functioning liver. Here's hoping all the best for Freddie O. I'll never forget him scoring that OT winner against the Avs in the '02 playoffs.

wingsfan75 2 Report post Posted February 26, 2007 In Lou-Siffer's defense, that was my first thought as well. I knew that he didn't play in the NHL but I was suprised to see that he was still playing somewhere. I hope he finds a liver and gets better.

Get better fred He played one more season in 2002-2003 with Anaheim. He retired from the NHL after that, but still kept playing in Europe.
superstarsingh 23 Report post Posted February 26, 2007 Get well soon Freddie. Crymson...Lou, who cares? Not a big deal. Surely Lou cares that Freddie needs a liver transplant...he is just shocked that he is still playing. Im guessing he was playing in Europe? But come on man, its not like Lou is saying he does not care.
