Seems a touch hypocritical for LGW to be wishing Williams all the best when it seemed like the opinion at large was that he was a disgrace to the Wheel. Willy-bashing ain't my thing and never was - you have to appreciate a guy who worked hard enough to make the team, score nearly 60 points in a season, and earn a multi-million dollar deal without ever being drafted. Chicago's got some up-and-comers so he'll fit in nicely there. Always (well, almost always) wish all the best to former Wings, so here's to ya, Willy.

While I'm very glad I won't have to watch him on the point on the power play anymore, I do wish the best of luck to the guy.

Good luck Willy! I can't say I ever hated him. I always thought he was a decent player. He seems to do well for me in NHL '07...laugh.gif

No because he looks identical to Neil Patrick Harris.

I swear I'm the only one who thinks this too.

I'll throw in my best wishes and good lucks to Williams. I never had a strong opinion about the guy either way, so I'm not overly happy or pissed he's gone.

Other than a solid year last year, I thought he played well in the 2002 Playoffs when he suited up 9 times. Nothing major, but held his own out there as a rookie.

I think this change will be good for all sides. Overall though this deal seems pretty minor. Hope he fits in good in chicago and that they give him some ice time.

19 we'll all miss you....
