I can't help but admire your faith in him. laugh.gif Those injury reports look sad for both teams but that should make this an intriguing matchup, lots of guys willing to prove themselves.

Go Griffins! clap.gif

Faith? or Reverse Psychology? hehe.gif

Great GDT as always aflac. Two things: first, the team points are differnt in the Central Division standings and Western Conference standings. Secondly, with Legwand and Arnott returning (and assuming Sully and Forsberg do not) our lines should look something like this:

Kariya- Legwand- Erat
Radulov- Arnott- Dumont
(some combination of our grinders and AHL players on our third and fourth lines)

Timonen- Zidlicky
Hamhuis- Weber
Suter- Zanon
Vitaly

Should be another tough and exciting game.

EDIT: Vokoun's record is 21-8-3.

● Peter Forsberg (Upper Body Injury); Questionable
● Steve Sullivan (Back); Questionable

If these guys are out, it should be easier than expected.

Wings 3 (Draper, Calder, BOOTLAND)
Preds 2 (Kariya, Erat)

EDIT:

And if not..

Wings 4 (Draper, Lang, Lidstrom, Cleary)
Preds 3 (Legwand, Sullivan, Kariya)

Hmmmmmmmmmmm............. the odds are against us.

I don't know how you figure the odds are against us, the Wings for the most part are quite dominant @ the Joe, regardless of opponent. This statement sounds like some sort of fear of the Preds crazy.gif

Screw em.. .yeah, they're talented, and we are banged up.. no matter tonight I think. I'll reserve my comments regarding the ONE injury I don't think will help us out (Hasek), because it only serves to bring about countless pissing contests about our goalies... but..

IF Osgood just stays within himself and doesn't freak out when he's called upon to make a big save, we should be alright. I'd think the Wings would play with a bit of a chip on their shoulder after losing to the Av's Sunday. That was pathetic.

Langer will play just fine thanks, Mr. Calder being the recipient of a nice pass for a goal. Wings 3, Preds 2.

Foppa takes a run at Sasha and knocks him out a few games , Booter comes off the bench and tries to get at Foppa clap.gif , someone steps in and takes on Booter , but in the end he is thrown out and suspended for leaving the bench. We however collect ourselves on goals by Malts , Drapes, Langer, Rex, and Flip. Ozzie stands on his ear. He also gets in a fight at senter ice with Mason!!! wait it feels like March 1997 all over again, except different team. (I need to stop taking drugs) tongue.gif clap.gif

laugh.gif On the contrary, light one up for me @ 7:30! yowza.gif

I can't remember a Wings-Preds game with so many questions going in...

What will the lineup look like? how will these lineups play?

okay, two questions, but they're huge. I can't wait until the puck drops, this could end up being one of the best games ever in this series. Having said that, it'll most likely be a snoozer.

The Wings will need a huge game from Osgood and the defense. The Preds are an opportunistic team, and if those 'probable' and 'questionable' guys really play tonight they will make something happen.

Let's go boys, we need the 2 points tonight, in regulation with any luck. Should be an interesting one for sure, can't wait to see Booters out there and see how him and the rest of the kids do. Let's go Griffs, err, Wings. biggrin.gif

Wings take it in a balls-to-the-wall, tooth-crunching effort:

4-2 Wings (Dats, Calderx2 one is an empty netter, Lids) (Toot-Toot the Train boy, Arnie)

Edit:
I had to change it- I originally said Dats had the EN, but he'd pass it to Calder.

Lang wakes up half way through the game and realizes he's a hockey player and gets a hat trick.

The Force is strong with this one. thumbup.gif

Bad news, though... *throws Idiom Switch*

FADE IN:

INT. AMAZONIAN TEMPLE

HEROES: I really don't think this is a good idea!

BOB: Relax, would you? I've seen this done a hundred times before, it's very simple. You just take the golden idol off the pedestal...

BOB slowly lifts the diminutive, glowing statue off it its resting place. He reaches into his utility pouch and reveals a small bag of sand.

BOB: ... And then you put this on here in its place. Voila! Couldn't be easier. Now, we can get out of he--

The temple begins to shake beneath their feet. The ceiling starts to crumble as the whole structure sounds as if it could fall apart at any moment.

HEROES: Bob... Bob?!

BOB [already in the distance]: RUN!

The two companions flee the temple into the jungles outside. They are quickly met by the NATIVES, who are very displeased with BOB'S tampering. Behind them, the temple collapses with a tremendous thud.

NATIVES: OFF WITH HIS HEAD! OFF WITH HIS HEAD!

BOB: Now wait just a moment, here!

BOB offers them the return of their idol, but the bloodlust has already set in.

NATIVES: OFF WITH HIS HEAD! OFF WITH HIS HEAD!

Sensing their doom, BOB knows what he must do to save his companion. He rushes the column of natives, tackling many to ground, but is quickly enveloped by their superior numbers.

BOB: Hurry! Run!

HEROES: But--

BOB: GO!!!

HEROES turns to escape, but not before witnessing the horrible fate rendered unto his life long friend. True to their word, BOB meets his most gruesome demise.

HEROES: NOOOOO!

Not making BOB'S herioic sacrifice in vain, HEROES leaves the Amazon unscathed, narrowly avoiding the NATIVE'S wrath.

INT. THE NEXT DAY, ANSAR KHAN'S WEBLOG

ANSAR KHAN: Robert Lang is expected to be out 2-3 weeks with a lower body injury, the team reported today. Eric Himelfarb has been recalled from Grand Rapids.
"We've been in the same spot all year long. We won 50 games for the fourth year in a row. People think we're just hum-drum and boring.
No, you know what we are, we're good. You can't do what we do every single day and not be good." - Mike Babcock

I'm steering as clear of this GDT tonight but here's to hoping for a fantastic hockey game - one where the Wings come up on top of the scoreboard and standings.
