Flip-check 6 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 I like J Mac, I love the city of Boston, and therefore I'd be tempted to check out the game on a livefeed... but between two playoff knock-outs, I'm not sure it'd be enough. We'll be getting Tim Thomas in net the day after. I figured those of you who follow the Mac a bit'd be interested though. Hopefully he has a good game against the Flyers! Vincanni 1 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 (edited) Good thing that's a 1 o'clock game for them, could you imagine the lack of rest they'd suffer playing a 12:30 game after a night game on top of losing an hour from day lights saving? Flip-check 6 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 Aww good for J-Mac! I was hoping we'd see him Sunday. I kind of did too, but since Boston's still fighting for a playoff berth, I guess they won't risk it. I don't know anything about Thomas... but apparently he's their clear starter. It would be the better game for the Mac to be in, though. He'll get less attention even if he plays his heart out in Philly: if he got a fair shake with the Bruins D in a game against Detroit's guns, totally different story. BeeRYCE 2 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 Has he changed his helmet and pads yet?
Flip-check 6 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 Per bostonbruins.com it looks like he's still a Bru-wing.
Bliz 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 Good for him. I'm glad to see him get a decent chance in Boston, though I have doubts on starting goalies against their former teams ever since Hasek's misadventure versus Buffalo a few years back. I still hope the Wings will win, but hopefully not shelling Joey Macdonald in the process.
Yzermaniac192005 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 Good for him, although I love seeing a goalie who's wearing his old pads and mask with a new team reminds me of something you'd see out of a video game...which, not to change the subject makes no sense as to why they game can't just change the goalies helmet but thats another story... joshy207 156 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 Goalies are pretty particular about their equipment. Remember when Osgood went to the Islanders and wore his Wings stuff until November? It's not like he didn't recieve new pads before then. As for MacDonald's new mask, maybe he didn't pick out a design in time or maybe the equipment guys dropped the ball and forgot to get him a new blank one. Call me paranoid, but seems like he plays pretty dirty against us
Flip-check 6 Report post Posted March 11, 2007 Way to go, Boston. Duff up another game for Joey Mac, the kid that can't catch a break for his life. You let the Flyers romp and stomp all over you, who ever does that? Douchebags. I'm officially naming Boston a sister city to D-town. It's done, we are spiritually united on two fronts.
