-- Franzen and Markov are both out this week. Earliest return for both is the game in Calgary (March 20).

-- Zetterberg and Bertuzzi are both out until after the Calgary game. Earliest possible return for both is at home against Columbus, March 22.

-- Ozzie starts Tuesday in Nashville. Hasek will go Wednesday in Detroit.

-- Cleary started skating on his own Monday.

This "earliest return" business is making me nervous. But March 22 is going to be an awesome game.

I'd definitely like to see the Wings win the division, but not at the expense of many more injuries.

As long as they are fully/close to full health and going into a good groove and some kind of winning streak going into the playoffs, that's what matters most to me.

#1/#2 in the conferece going into the playoffs would be nice, but going #4 wouldn't cause me to lose any sleep.

I kinda had a feeling this was going to happen, but at the same time I was wishing and praying to have all our boys back when we come into Van. They are hot right now, and I knwo with our full roster we could take them, it will be interesting to see how this weekend ends up playing out.

that sucks, z was supposed to be one to two weeks, it's already been over two weeks. i hope it's nothing serious.

Didn't Holland initially say 2-3 weeks?

Playoffs are pretty much locked up.. that's all that matters. The regular season team has done their job, the rest of the season is a strech to prepare for the big show. If that means a whole lot of losing due to injuries, then be it.

what about the further injury schedule for this week? I mean for example neither Malts nor Nick were yet rested... oh wait... I mean injured, of course :) nevermind... they'd need a short break before playoffs, wouldn't they? is it now or even later?

I really think Hank and Bert are fine. They just want to be 120% sure before they come back and rightfully so because the playoffs are right around the corner.

Great to see Ozzie get the start tomorrow. Hopefully the Wings will play MUCH better than they did on Sunday.

Btw, great ava, Heaton!

Yeah I think Hank's just being lazy.

Nah, probably you're too busy with medical school and the resulting lack of attention has thrown him into a deep depression.

i agree that 4th would be more than adequate, but i just cant stand the thought of nashville being ahead of us... I know #1 has done us no good lately, but I want #1 just so nashville isnt there.
