Calder Misconduct?!?

i was reading a blog on mlive abotu the wings and they said calder got a 10 min misconduct.. just curious on what he did as i was out for st pattys day and saw lil of the game.. thanx

He got a penalty for tripping, which was complete BS because whoever it was that he tripped *I forgot?* dived so HE should of been called. Calder got pissed and argued the call..a little too much I suppose so he got a misconduct.

what happened to refs being reveiwed and fined for ******* up s*** ?? wasnt that something that was suppose to happen in the "new" NHL.. wich for the past week hasnt happened for the wings it seems

Funny you mention that, I'm not much of a lip reader trust me, but after the call (we had a slew of calls against us at that point) he was chirping all the way to the box and on his way through the penalty box door, he turned to the ref and said "you're a f*%! up" plain as day. Then, not a split second after that, the ref motioned for a misconduct penatly . I don't know if thats enough to get yourself a misconduct in today's NHL but the ref sure didn't seem to want to put up with the abuse. I personally thought it was kinda funny.

ya .. it seems funny.. the ref in nashville was terrible. but its funny how we havent heard of refs being "penalized" for messign things up liek they were suppose.. atleast what i thought was suppose to happen

Let us know what it was if you find it...I was reading his lips too at that point...it looked like he said "wake the F*@K up!" then immediately the misconduct was handed out...I'm always curious as to how much lip those refs put up with...haha

I turned on the Michigan-Notre Dame championship game last night and a U-M player got a penalty. I actually heard him scream, "Are you ******* kidding me? You can't be ******* serious!!!" The Joe is so quiet that you can hear stuff like that quite often, it's pretty funny.

I watched it over again and he indeed say 'wake the bleep up' about three times. hahahaha

I think that's enough to get you a misconduct. Umpiring a baseball game last year, I struck a kid out on 3 straight pitches (his first at-bat of the season) and as he was walking away he said "Your f%#*ed up!" I tossed him immediately without blinking an eye. I don't tolerate that kind of crap from anybody.
