3/20 GDT: Red Wings @ Flames

Please lets win this one, I'm sick of losing to Western Canadian teams. I say we take this one 4-2.

I know a local Colorado fan who's rooting for us on this one.

Anyone else need more proof that the rivalry's over?

I should be here for this one...but like some of you, I still feel uneasy over these trips through Western Canada. The Flames are insanely good at home. The next best teams on home ice are...well, us and Nashville. I had a bad feeling about the Vancouver game; I've got a worse feeling on this one, since Calgary's fighting for their playoff lives.

3-1 Flames. :(

I hope we get a nice lead so we can get Stuart back for his cheap s*** cross check of Z last meeting.

Wings - 6

Flames - 0

Goals: Lilja, Lilja, Lilja, Lilja, Lilja and Calder.

Cheers!

esteef

I forgot about that. Thanks for the reminder.

Wings 5 (Dats, HOMER, Hudler, Lidstrom, Calder)

Flames 3 (three random cow-tipping flamers)

Luckily I missed Saturday nights tilt... Even on weekends those 10pm starts are brutal. 9pm is alright though I suppose. I've always enjoyed games vs. the Flames, so if I take a little nappy after work I should make it :P

Strange to read on CalgarySun.com how the defense has fallen off this year, and the offense has turned it up for the Flames.. that being said, didn't like reading that Chelios got a night off, for some reason I feel so much more secure with Chelly back on the blue line.. hmm.. maybe it's because Lilly-farts has to play? :D I predict yet another Western Canada loss, so all the Wings pundits can be sent into a tizzy about how we "can't beat" good teams, especially on the road. Flames 3 - Wings 2.

I'm having such a hectic day! But I'm still in my pajamas! How's that even possible?!?!? The Wings need to win tonight. Happy birthday to Flip too. He's only 23??? I feel ancient <_<

I was going to predict 4-1 Wings but apparently that's Russ's job. :hehe:

You said it, at times it has felt like you can't play for the Wings being that young. :P

Aflac; great job on those GDT's. After looking at other forums around the net.. your's are always hands down - the best. I just hope we match their physical play tonight... a good test for playoff style hockey for sure.

I think that Kronwall gets his face sheild off tonight!! :carrot: oh yeah!

EDIT: Yes, He will, here is an article from Freep.com

Uncaged: Niklas Kronwall happily retired the cage he has worn to protect his face for 60 days. He has worn the device since Jan. 20, when he was cut by the skate of Colorado's Marek Svatos so badly that the tip of his nose was hanging off.

"You get used to everything after a while, but of course it feels good to take it off," Kronwall said of the cage. "You see the ice totally different -- like when the puck is at your feet, that's when it's hard because you have to move your head up and down a lot more just because of that chin strap." Asked if he might demolish the cage, Kronwall suggested he might, in fact, frame it.
