superstarsingh 23 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 Yeah its pretty interesting. From what I can see there are no hockey related topics on deck.
Elshupacabra 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 Yeah its pretty interesting. From what I can see there are no hockey related topics on deck. Yeah, how strange!
Vincanni 1 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 I actually watch that show on occasion, one of the few things on ESPN I still ever bother to watch. Isn't Kornheiser a big hockey fan, I know I heard that from another source before, just can't confirm anything.
chelios4eva 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 They were talking about the Tootoo incident on Around the Horn, both people said it was horrible thing Tootoo did, and he got what he deserved. I think Marioni (sp?) wanted him to get 10 games. I guess they do know a little about hockey.
jerm8352 3 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 I don't think so. Neither of them ever seem to care much about hockey!

bogeygolfer 4 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 the black guy likes hockey, he said before he wishes he could talk more hockey, but the white guy won't let him
Sting 11 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 The Cup appears to be gone now. According to PTI, there are only 2.5 sports: football, basketball, and sometimes baseball. Whenever they mention another sport it's usually in passing or as a joke. The show's pretty much worthless...too bad there's rarely anything else on at 5:30. Vincanni 1 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 ...too bad there's rarely anything else on at 5:30. Now that I think about it that's pretty much why I end up watching that show most of the time. Anyways I'm sure if ESPN still played hockey games they'd be more inclined to cover it. Also it might just be me, but this years annual sports coverage line-up seems even stronger with football than it's ever been. It's always been their top priority but since getting Monday Night Football I feel it's increased even beyond it's normal superlative degree.
timothy1997 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 ESPN bashing occurs a lot around here but yet again, whenever something hockey related is on it...there is a post and all those bashers say "yeah i saw that". If you dont like ESPN, then change the channel. Oh I saw the cup and yeah that was pretty cool.

BlueMonk 102 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 PTI is one of the better sports shows on TV. But they don't talk about hockey, so you shouldn't expect to hear anything about it.
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 too bad there's rarely anything else on at 5:30. I usually watch the King of Queens at 5:30. PTI is a mildly decent show, but I don't watch it on a regular basis. At this time of year all they ever talk about is Basketball, and except for the Pistons, I really don't follow any other teams. So it gives me no real reason to watch it.

Jwo 7 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 So why was the cup there if they did not talk about hockey?
timothy1997 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 On Yzerman night he didnt even know his # and your point is. PTI doesn't talk about hockey so rather fake it, they are completely honest. I bet a majority of causal sports fans dont even know Yzerman's number.

auxlepli 17 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 They really said 2.5 sports? If so it's because that's what ESPN is carrying. Does ESPN still carry baseball? Given what they said, I'd say no. Interesting that they're not toeing the company line and saying arena football, poker, bowling and rock, scissors paper aren't sports too.
