Wings 4 (Lang, Calder, Dats, Homer)
BJs 1 (Fedorov)

Notes:

Bert does SOMETHING fo rus to make him a MUST resign. In spirit of course, since we have to win the Cup to resign ANY UFAs right wink.gif

With the day off for travel, does anyone think Babcock is sort of "benching" Hasek for his stupid-ass move the other night, or is it just time for some rest?

Ordinarily, I'd say it's the latter...but I also read that Ozzie's getting the start against St. Louis this weekend too, so it makes me wonder. In any case, we're fine in net. Can't wait to see Bert out there tonight.

I'm going to be uncharacteristically optimistic tonight...6-2 Wings. biggrin.gif

I'm excited Senor Bertuzzi is finally make his first appearance, but let give the man some time and space.

It's his first game in a really long time, so don't expect a 4 point game.

EDIT: DO EXPECT = DON'T EXPECT

I went to buy some camouflage pants the other day but I couldn't find any.

Yay Bertuzzi, I always hated him because he was a big strong checker who could score.

Now he is our big (hopefully) strong checker who (hopefully) can score.

I think he'll do fine, matter of fact I think that like Calder, just the fact that a great team like Detroit wanted him will motivate him.

Since I currently go to school in Ohio, I will be able to see this game on Fox Sports Net Ohio. Due to my recent track record of watching the Red Wings, I will leave it up to you, the LGW members. Should I watch the game?

Todd Bertuzzi - Pavel Datsyuk - Tomas Holmstrom
Kyle Calder - Robert Lang - Jiri Hudler
Johan Franzen - Kris Draper - Kirk Maltby
Valtteri Filppula - Dan Cleary- Mikael Samuelsson

Bert's first game in a Wings jersey. thumbup.gif

Wings get back on track and win it handily.

Red Wings 5-1.

A fight in his first game back since October?

Me thinks not.
It's amazing how much clarity comes when you care more about the Red Wings than any individual player.

This is very exciting.

I only worry that he'll be out there for like two shifts, then sit the rest of the game for precautionary reasons.

Regardless, it'll be so cool to see Big Bert in the winged wheel. I never thought we would pull the trigger on a trade for him.

4-3 Wings in OT.

I don't believe Babcock is stupid enough to "bench" Hasek for his gaffe vs. Calgary. If so, then I think a great deal less of him than I did yesterday. As if a world-class, elite player like Hasek needs to be punished and chastened for making a judgement call that went bad? If that's the way the Wings' management is treating players (I don't believe it, BTW), then that's reason for concern, IMO. Hasek is probably tired of killing a billion penalties every game, and now it's Ozzie's turn, more likely.

Besides, if making a mistake resulted in benching the player responsible, we'd be short half a dozen guys every game...and we'd never see Lilja or Lang again. ph34r.gif

I'm very excited for this game! First of all, actually going to a game where Ozzie's playing at home, a rare thing! Plus, Bert is hopefully, most likely in the lineup! I can't wait.

Also, taking my little sister to a game for the very first time.

Maybe I should make a sign welcoming Bert?? I don't know...ah the days of signs...i haven't done that forever...
